You Can Run But You Can't Hide My Contractual Wife novel Chapter 288

Eric was so furious about what happened to his Aunt Rita.

He could not believe that she could do it as he knew her to be a tough woman.

For him, she was an epitome of a strong character.

It was so sudden to him.

Her death was so sudden.

Eric had to fly back abroad to check on Rosy and his Uncle Byer.

Before he jumped out the bed, he quickly dialed someone on his phone.

“About the girl of my uncle,” Eric’s tone was dangerous.

“Sir, what about her?” The suspense of the tone on the other line appeared.

Gritting his teeth, his eyes were murderous. “…torture her but keep her alive. I want to kill her by myself. Clear?” He ordered soullessly.

“Right away, sir.” The person on the other line quickly answered.

After the call, Eric started to grab his things and put them in his travel bag.

With a heavy heart, he looked at the black suit hanging inside his wardrobe then he remembered his Aunt Rita when she was still alive.

“Happy birthday! I have a surprise for you, son!” His aunt Rita never missed remembering his birthday.

She always prepared a simple celebration for them on his birthday.

She was sweet and very generous.

“Wow! What’s inside, Auntie?” The teenage boy Eric was very excited holding a huge box wrapped with a red ribbon.

“Open it!” His Auntie Rita said with sparks in her eyes due to happiness and excitement.

The teenage boy Eric quickly opened it with a smile of excitement.

When he finally saw it, he was shocked like he couldn’t believe what he saw.

“Oh my… Auntie, is this really for me?” Eric was very happy receiving the only thing he ever wanted at that time.

A guitar.

He was very surprised to see it was wrapped in a box.

His Auntie surely made an effort to put it in a box so there’s an element of surprise.

He had been wanting to have a guitar at the age of 13 as he loved music so much.

He remembered his late father whenever he played the guitar as the last memory he had with him was he was playing the guitar and his mother was singing.

They were very happy at that time.

When he was just 6 years old, he could already play the piano well using Byer’s piano in the house.

Then as he grew older, he learned to play a lot of different musical instruments.

Of all the instruments, he had no guitar.

He just borrowed the guitar of his friend whenever its’ available.

“Yes… it’s for you darling. I want you to remember your family with that guitar. Happy birthday!” His Aunt Rita was very supportive of him as she hugged him lovingly. “But… I have a little request from you.” She muttered sweetly.

“What is it, Auntie?” He asked full of curiosity.

“I want you to play that guitar first in front of me with a song. Promise?” She requested smiling.

“No problem.” Eric smiled then he started playing his first guitar with a sweet song for his aunt.

His aunt loved it very much then the guests started to come in for his birthday celebration.

They stopped by to hear Eric’s good performance.

After he performed, “Thank you auntie for giving me this instrument. You are the best Auntie in the whole world!” After his speech, the crowd’s applause was heard.

He saw her wiping her tears of joy.

Then Eric’s memory brought him when his Aunt Rita rescued her in the principal's office when he was 10.

He got into a fight when some bullies in the school.

When he was a boy, he was thin and small so he was always the target of the bullies in their school because he was known to have no parents.

“Hey! You! Where’s your mama, huh?” The tall fat boy tapped his shoulder while he was walking in a corridor.

He was used to them so he didn’t reply and just continued walking but two boys blocked his way.

He stopped and looked at them.

They laughed out loud.

“Why don’t you tell us? Who made you?” The boy with curly hair was obviously provoking him.

“Shut up!... Who’s who? We all know he had no parents. Maybe he came from an egg perhaps?” The other boy blurted out.

“Hell yeah! Did he come from a dinosaur egg? Oh maybe, ah dragon egg?” They all chuckled.

“You are all wrong! Eric is very thin and small and you all mentioned big eggs. You are all definitely wrong!” The fat boy refuted.

“Then what egg?” The two boys asked at the same time.

“Chicken egg! Koookook! Koookook!” The fat boy messed up his hair then they all laughed at him again.

Eric stood still as he was already clenching his fists.

“Eggs can supplement brains. Try to eat one.” Eric commented then smirked.

The laughing stopped.

“What did you say?!” The fat boy suddenly held the neckline of his shirt.

With all his might, Eric pushed him.

Then the brawling happened between him and the three boys.

That was his first-ever fight and he got a lot of bruises from the three boys.

In the principal's office, the parents of the three boys arrived immediately and he had no one.

“This boy had no parents that is why he had no manners.” Eric heard the mother of the fat boy's comment.

“Yeah, that’s right. He should be expelled from this school.” The other mother supported sarcastically.

“Who said, this boy has no parents?” Everyone turned to see in the door’s direction.

Eric’s eyes widened seeing his Auntie Rita strode inside with an intimidating look.

She was wearing all her branded clothes and accessories and she walked elegantly.

“I am this boy’s mother.” She introduced herself holding Eric’s hand.

“And who dared you to talk about manners? Your son is the most bully in this school. You wanna bet? Because I can assure you that I can secure evidence from other students about your son’s bullying all students in this school.” His Aunt Rita bombarded all the parents. “You! You! And You!” She pointed to the three boys with the parents. “They should be the ones to be expelled from this school.” His Aunt Rita’s mouth was non-stopped. “Ms. Hanes, if the bullying of this school will not stop then I am sorry, I will report this school to the higher court. This school must be closed.” With a high chin, Aunt Rita finished her words.

Everyone was alarmed.

“Our apology Mrs. Byer. You can assure that the bullying will stop in this school and to you Eric, we apologize to you too.” The principal was very sorry. The parents were quiet and problematic. They seemed to be in a hopeless case as they knew that their boys were the bullies.

After that, his Aunt Rita won the fight.

They won the case.

The three boys were expelled from the school.

Every day, his Aunt Rita visited his room to treat his bruises until it was completely healed.

“Always remember, no one will bully you as long as I am here.” She whispered blowing his bruises on his face after she put a betadine.

That words of his Auntie Rita pierced his heart.

Even in the present, he was thankful for her.

Thinking about his Auntie Rita, Eric’s tears slipped out from his eyes when someone knocked on his door.
