One morning, Arabella received another call from Sen. Meyer.
Her heartbeat started to elevate.
She could sense this call would ruin her day.
She just stared at her cellphone not willing to answer the Senator as she was not prepared for him.
She would never be prepared for him but thinking of his father’s situation, she gritted her teeth then she tapped the accept call button.
“Finally, you answered.” The Senator sounded satisfied.
She didn’t speak.
Who would even want to talk to a hideous man like him?
Who would even talk to a person who would put her in danger?
“Arabella…” He called her name. “I know you are there listening.” He chuckled devilishly. “That’s right, just listen to me because I really need you to listen to me carefully.” His voice was deep and scary but she was not scared of him.
If it were not only for her father, she would not follow him.
She would fight for her life if it means her being free with him but the situation was different.
The senator had a hostage.
He had her father.
The father who had abandoned her because of his mistress.
The father who had committed adultery and offended the Senator for snatching his wife and now she had to be the one to sacrifice for her father’s wrongdoings.
‘It isn’t fair!’
‘Life is never been fair!’
Arabella could not overcome the reason why she was helping her dad and why her life was put into turmoil again.
She should be focusing on finding Adam and be gone forever from the city that caused all her nightmares.
She could not wait to get rid of the people who made her life a disaster.
She could not wait not to see the Senator, Trishia, Kelly, and Bill Sky.
But for now, she had to settle first with her father.
She had to save him first from the Senator’s hand and she hoped not to see him again too.
She wished him safe and healthy but she hoped that he would be gone from her sight forever with or without his mistress.
“Arabella… I decided to extend our agreement.” The senator directly said the reason for his call.
“What??? What do you mean by that?” She was shouting on the other line.
“Shhhh… I know you would react like that but listen to me first.” The senator’s voice was calm but with a controlled temper. “Hmmm… It’s not too much to ask, Arabella. Let’s just say we extend it to 2 more missions for me before I will release your father safe and sound. How’s that sweetheart?” The Senator was very wicked.
He sounded like an evil trying to convince someone to do bad.
“Huh! Do you think I will agree to that? You said to me that I will have my final mission and you will release my father! How dare you swallow your words?! You are a shameless old man!” She roared with her eyes bursting in anger.
“Nah… Nah… Nah…” The Senator sounded calm. “You don’t shout at me or I will kill your father!” Then the temper he was controlling busted out.
Hearing him, Arabella instantly got muted.
She could feel her heart was clenched so hard and her body was trembling due to the excessive vexation she had.
“Okay… now I guess we can talk properly.” The senator’s voice was calm again.
Arabella didn’t speak trying to pull herself together.
She was very mad with this senator that even his voice made her very annoyed.
“Arabella… Even fairies grant 3 wishes right?” He continued. “One additional then we are even. Just remember how your father had wronged me. He got my wife. He is the sinner here and I am not. He put you into this position, dear.” The Senator started to brainwash her.
“Senator, since you can’t be trusted, I will accept that but can you promise me one thing?” She was disheartened by her situation.
The man is hopeless!
He was not reliable.
How could she trust him?
She sensed the senator would never be true to her words.
He would never release her father after the third mission.
“Sure! What is that, dear?” The Senator seemed to be in a good mood after hearing that she was going to agree with him.
It just needed a little push and then she would act accordingly.
Arabella clenched her fists.
“Can you… can you kill yourself after I accomplished my third mission?” She asked insulting him.
She could not help it.
This man is very vicious.
He would never stick to his words.
After her words, she ended the call without waiting for his reply then she threw her mobile phone to her sofa, cupped her face with her two hands, and heaved a deep sigh.
She felt her heart was going to explode.
With the senator, her problem seemed no solution.
He was using her to get money from Bill Sky and he would continuously use her to his advantage.
‘What a hideous man!’ She cursed in the air.
She had to get out from the hands of the senator but what is she going to do?
Who could help her?
‘Alice Meyer.’
She could only think of one person.
She remembered her before.
She said she was helping her.
At that time, she could not understand her but she was a nice decent woman.
No wonder Sen. Meyer kept her by his side.
But how could she face the woman who ruined her family?
She was the reason why her father left them.
She was the reason why her father was in this situation.
She was the reason why she was in this disaster.
It’s all because of her.
Arabella shook her head then cupped her face again.
Even though she didn’t want to see her but she was the only one who could help her.
It’s just fair that she had to take part in solving the problem if she really loved her father.
If Alice Meyer really loved her father, then she should be the one to take the responsibility not her.
After arriving at her final decision, she quickly stood up.
She had to find Alice Meyer and the only person who could tell her location was no other than, Trishia Meyer.
“Jayson, can I have a favor?” Arabella could only think of Jayson to help her with something.
“Arabella, I’m glad you called. What can I help you with? Come on! You know that I am very happy hearing you again.” Jayson was very surprised that she called.
His tone was very delighted.
“Please find the number of Trishia Meyer. I just needed it very badly.” Her tone was pleading.
Jayson Hansen was stunned.
Hearing Arabella, his mind became messy.
“Oh! May I know the reason why?” Calming himself, he asked.
