She thought there must be something wrong with it, but she didn’t know exactly what it was. She guessed it must be someone who had great power that was helping her. She glanced at Maximilian, trying to get some clues from him.
She had a feeling that Maximilian must be involved in it. She wanted him to tell her the truth.
“Why are you looking at me? What do you wanna say?” Maximilian said flatly.
He didn’t know what she was thinking about.
She said: “I’m just kidding. Never mind.”
Maximilian didn’t want to explain more.
“I understand what you are thinking. You’re right. I have asked someone to help you because I don’t want them to hurt you.” said he.
He thought it a must to give her a brief explanation.
“How do you know the people from Emperor Family? They’re a big family in W City.” She was curious about it.
“I just know a little about them. Also, Dragon Sect was my enemy, so helping you is helping myself.” He didn’t mean to say much about his relationship with Emperor Family.
She was shocked.
But there would no other problems if Maximilian was on her side.
“If it were not you, I couldn’t imagine what would happen to me. But you’d better get it straight. Dragon Sect will never let us go.”
She knew that the Dragon Sect would definitely find another change to revenge.
Maximilian was very calm since he knew it too. He had dealt with them for several times after all.
So, he nodded in agreement.
Dragon Queen was furious about being betrayed by Adviser Ashton.
She had to find another adviser.
She chose a man in suits, who seemed to bear out of the ordinary.
