Esther hesitated. "I feel like you have, but I don't know who it is."

Of course, Finnegan wouldn't reveal it was her. "It's someone you don't know, so her name doesn't matter."

Esther found this strange. There wasn't any emotion in his tone at all when he spoke, as if he didn't really care. But if she pressed further, she might seem too nosy.

Still, she sighed in relief, feeling their relationship unconsciously drawing closer. "What are you doing tonight? I'd like to treat you to dinner."

Esther blushed and lowered her head. "He's usually busy with work, so he probably doesn't have time to join us. I see you as my savior. It wouldn't be a problem for me to treat you to dinner."

In her mind, treating her savior to a meal was completely normal. They had no intimate contact, so it wouldn't be considered cheating.
