"I've told you, I don't have the capabilities you think I do. Besides, I have no interest in the Crawfords. If you keep asking me to help take them down, I won't continue this conversation," Pearl stated firmly, rising from her seat.

"Don't be in such a hurry to leave. Perhaps I can offer you another condition."

"It's fine. I have no interest in any conditions you might offer."

"What if it's Esther's future?"

This stopped Pearl in her tracks. "What do you mean?"

Seeing her pause, Luther knew he had piqued her interest. "It's nothing. I just happen to know about Esther's past."

Pearl's expression turned cold. "What do you know about her?"

Leaning back, Luther seemed unconcerned. "Not much, just that she dated Mobius, and they broke up. I also know that Mobius died because of her. Oh, and he donated bone marrow to her."

Pearl remained calm. "How would these things affect her future?"
