Esther seemed to resemble more of how Pearl used to be.

Seeing Pearl lost in thought, Esther's frosty face finally showed some expression. "Welcome back, Pea," she greeted with a chilly smile.

Pearl felt a mix of emotions seeing the unfamiliar side of Esther. She wondered what Esther had been through all these years to become like this. Moreover, the fact that they hadn't spent much time together for so long made them feel like strangers.

Without much conversation, Esther instructed her bodyguards to handle the luggage. Then, she spotted the little boy hiding behind Pearl.

Darius inherited excellent genes from his parents, evident in his captivating eyes. His skin was incredibly smooth, and he was bound to grow up into a strikingly handsome man.

Esther pinched his cheek, a gentle smile finally appearing on her icy face. "You must be Darius. Do you know who I am?"

Darius nodded calmly. "I know, you're Esther. Since my mom regained her memory, she often talked about you and showed me your photos. Even though you look different now, I could still vaguely recognize you, so I knew your name."

His words stirred something in Esther's heart. "So your mom has introduced me to you? Wait, did you just say your mother lost her memory?"

Darius nodded, feeling somewhat helpless. After all, he was just a child and had no intention of hiding anything from her. "My mom lost her memory temporarily due to some issues, but she only remembered them recently."
