Unfortunately, Esther didn't say much when James brought it up. She quietly agreed, even though she felt uncomfortable.

"Yeah, Aunt Agnes. I like fish and chips too..." Esther managed to say.

Agnes beamed and held Esther's hand warmly. "I knew you liked sweet and sour food. James told me you preferred sweets. I thought you'd watch your diet strictly since you're a celebrity. But honestly, you look great! It's fine to enjoy sweets now and then."

Esther's eyes teared up. Agnes had always treated her like a daughter, which made it hard for Esther to refuse anything, including this visit with James.

"Aunt Agnes, I'm not a kid. I'm twenty-five years old," Esther reminded her gently.

Agnes playfully rolled her eyes. "Nonsense! You're still very young. To me, you're just a kid. Now, go wash your hands and let's eat."

She returned to the kitchen. Seeing James eating calmly at the table, Agnes clicked her tongue. "James, grab a bottle of juice for Esther. It's in the fridge, second shelf. I got peach juice for her. Try to take care of her more instead of just eating by yourself."

James got up to fetch the juice, following Agnes's instructions.

Esther would usually join Agnes in scolding James, but things were different now. Feeling awkward and helpless, she sat at the table and absentmindedly played with her pasta.
