Noticing Alexander's movements, the nurse followed his gaze and finally realized that Clara was also there.

The nurse immediately smiled and greeted her, "Ms. Salford."

Seeing that Clara looked much better than she had a few days ago, the nurse could not help but feel happy for her. "You are looking much better today. Are you still feeling unwell in any way?"

Hearing her name, Clara snapped out of her thoughts and returned a smile. "Thank you for taking care of me these past few days. I feel much better now."

The nurse nodded, glancing between her and Alexander with a teasing look.

"That is good to hear. You have no idea how worried your friend has been about you. He has been coming to the hospital every day, but he was always afraid of disturbing your rest.

"So, he would only stand downstairs, ask us about your condition, and leave once he was sure you were doing alright. I thought he was not planning to come up to see you today, either."

The nurse then noticed Clara's change of shoes. "Are you two heading out?"

Clara nodded. "The weather is nice today. We are planning to take a walk nearby."

The nurse understood and reminded her, "It is good for your recovery to get some fresh air and sunlight. Just be careful since you have only just started recovering. Avoid catching a cold, or your illness might relapse and leave lingering effects."

"I will keep that in mind."

"Then, I will leave you to it. I need to get back to work," the nurse said her goodbyes, gave Alexander a quick nod, and walked away.

Clara watched her leave, then clasped her hands behind her back and stepped closer to Alexander with a smile. "The nurse just said…"

Before she could finish her sentence, Alexander's face visibly flushed. When he saw Clara's bright expression, his heart skipped a beat he could not control.
