Seeing everyone around egging her on, Flona had no choice but to greet Brian. After all, she had been bragging to her classmates that she was Arlana’s cousin and had ties to Brian. 

Her classmates mostly came from well–off families, even though they weren’t on the same level as the Lodge and Torrey families. 

They didn’t look up to her much. If she didn’t go greet Brian now, they would know she was lying. 

Fiona mustered her courage and took a small step forward. Brian happened to glance her way, and her heart skipped a beat. 

Moment’s later, Emily stepped up to Fiona. “Ms. Piper, is it Mr. Lodge would like you to come over.” 

Fiona was both shocked and flattered 

Her classmates looked on in amazement. Could it be Fiona wasn’t lying? Maybe Brian really did help her get into Glea College. 

Sensing all those stares, Fiona straightened her back and put on a proud look. “Alright, I’ll go.” 

She followed Emily over to Brian, drawing even more curious looks from bystanders. Because Fiona’s style of dress was similar to Evelyn’s, everyone started speculating about her identity. Otherwise, why would Brian personally ask for her? 

“Mr. Lodge…” Elona gazed at Brian anxiously, her face turning pink 

Brian clearly had no intention of small talk. He frowned and asked, “Where is Ariana?” 

*Hearing that Brian was looking for Ariana, a flicker of disappointment crossed Fiona’s eyes. 

But when she saw the crowd watching, she came up with an idea. She stepped in a little closer and said quietly, Mr. Lodge, there are too many people here. Maybe we can find somewhere less crowded. I don’t want to cause a scene at college.” 

She looked at him imploringly. 

Brian thought about the trouble Ariana had been having at college and decided to humor Fiona for once. “Fine. Come with me.” 

Seeing him agree, Fiona quickly followed, unable to hide her joy. 

Their classmates gawked at the sight, feeling envious. 

“Fiona must have been telling the truth. It looks like Mr. Lodge did help her enroll 

“He never interacts much with strangers. Other than Evelyn, he’s rarely seen so close to anyone else.”
