Emily didn’t dare say another word.
When they arrived outside the Gleaston Grand Hotel, Brian practically jumped out of the car.
A staff member hurried over. “Mr. Lodge, may I…”
“Scram!”
Frightened, the staff member backed off.
Emily rushed after Brian. “They’re in Room 8302 on the third floor.”
Brian took the elevator up and looked for Room 8302
He stood in front of the door but didn’t go in right away.
Emily was about to swipe the key card when Brian took it from her hand.
He stood there for a while, unable to bring himself to open the door. Finally, he steeled himself and swiped. The door unlocked with a beep.
They saw a perfectly tidy room.
“Where is she?”
Brian’s brow furrowed.
Emily looked confused. “She must be here. I checked. She’s definitely in this hotel.”
“Find her!”
“Yes.”
Emily went downstairs to ask the staff to investigate further.
Inside another room, Ariana was still trying to reach Evelyn when she couldn’t get through on the phone. She sent a message asking Evelyn to meet.
A moment later, a large group of footsteps sounded in the hallway.
Ariana frowned. “What’s going on out there?”
“Probably your fiancé’s men, here to catch you in the act.”
“What?”
Ariana froze, then realized her name was on the other room’s booking. No wonder Brian’s men would be able to track her so easily.
“You reserved two rooms?”
Given Brian’s influence in Gleaston, there was no way he couldn’t track down which room she’d checked into. The only explanation was that Victor had booked two, so she’d end up registered in a different room.

“Now that we’re done We’ll meet next time.” Victor stood, ready to leave.
Ariana asked, “You’re leaving? What about me?”
He chuckled. “Ms.Torrby, why would I care what happens to you once I’m gone?”
Seeing Victor opening the door and leaving, Ariana’s expression instantly darkened.
He was nothing but a double–dealing hypocrite,
Victor had just stepped off the elevator and was met by Brian, who was instructing people to search the floor.
