Chapter 211
“Are you done yet? I have other things to do later.” The academic advisor sounded impatient.
Ariana glanced at the academic advisor outside the door. She was painfully aware of her situation. Anyone could push her around as they pleased.
She turned to the doctor. “I understand. Doctor, please prescribe the medicine for me.”
“Alright.” The doctor quickly prepared the prescription and explained how to use the medicine. Once everything was settled, Ariana picked up the form and stood up.
Outside, the academic advisor impatiently asked, “Are you done? If so, I need to leave.”
“Mr. Runes, Mr. Kingsman asked me to give you the report Ariana handed him the injury assessment report. The academic advisor shoved it into his pocket. “If that’s all, let’s go. Don’t waste my time!”
The academic advisor walked ahead. Ariana said, “I still need to pick up my medicine. Mr. Kingsman mentioned that it’s inconvenient for me to carry it alone, so he asked you to help me. What am I supposed to do if you leave?”
“Ariana, stop using Mr. Kingsman as an excuse! I can see it’s just a minor injury. What’s the big deal? Apply some ointment to it, and you’ll be fine in a few days! Now hurry up, stop wasting my time!” The academic advisor was dismissive. Just as he turned to leave, he bumped into someone.
“Watch where you’re going!” the academic advisor snapped
Before he could finish, he looked up and saw Brian’s intimidating face.
When the academic advisor realized it was Brian, his expression shifted and he quickly stumbled back. “Oh, it’s ‘Mr. Lodge! What brings you here?”
“Emily,” Brian called.
“Yes.” Emily stepped forward and swiftly knocked the academic advisor to the ground.
The academic advisor cried out in pain, and Emily stepped on his hand. His wails of agony echoed in the hallway.” Mercy! Mercy, Mr. Lodge! Please!”
The hospital fell silent as everyone nearby watched the scene unfold.
Brian’s voice broke the tension. “Since he claims it’s just a minor injury and not worth any fuss, I don’t think he needs medication either. Just get him some ointment. Let’s see how long it takes for his hand to heal.”
“Understood, Mr. Lodge.” Emily lifted her foot from the academic advisor’s hand and tossed 50 dollars onto his face.
The back of the academic advisor’s hand was bruised and swollen, and the pain prevented him from moving.
Brian walked over to Ariana and inspected her injured hand
Her once delicate hand was now swollen and bruised. It was a heart–wrenching sight.
Ariana pulled her hand back and frowned. “Why are you here?”
Her gaze turned hostile.
Brian huffed. “I thought you were a tough girl. How come you’re being bullied?”
“I lost my backing. It’s normal.” Ariana flexed her wrist. “I be going if there’s nothing else.”
