Chapter 267
Emily hesitated. Should she tell Brian or not?
“But this exam is really important to me. Can I write with my left hand?” Ariana asked. “I’ve heard doctors are skilled with their hands and can use both. Could you teach me some techniques?”
“You really want to learn?”
“I do!”
Ariana looked at Simon earnestly.
Simon said, “It’s basically about habit. Your left hand is fine, so you can try writing with it. But nine days isn’t enough. It’ll be tough.”
“I’m not afraid of hardship. I have to graduate.”
A diploma from Glea College was like a key to a new world. In this circle, a high level of education meant a lot. Glea College, in particular, held special significance in this social circle.
Maybe prominent families like the Lodge family didn’t care, but the Torrey family was on the verge of collapse: If she couldn’t even get that diploma, how could she possibly take over the company?
“Alright, I’ll teach you,” Simon said with a smile, silently adding another charge to bill Victor later.
The overseas travel, transport, meals, accommodations, and now tuition fees–Simon figured he could definitely make Victor pay a hefty price. It was quite the deal for him.
Just then, Emily’s phone rang. She excused herself and stepped aside to take the call.
On the other end, Brian asked indifferently, “How much longer are you going to waste time at the hospital?”
“Mr. Lodge, Ms. Torrey still…”
Before Emily could finish, Brian cut her off. “Your job was to bring her to the hospital. I never told you to stay with her.”
“Yes, Mr. Lodge.”
“Have the driver take her back.”
“Yes.”
Emily couldn’t figure out what Brian was thinking. Still, an order was an order, so she went to inform Ariana.
“Ms. Torrey, something has come up at the company. I have to get back. I’ll have the driver take you home a bit later.”
“No need for all that,” Simon said. “Our discussion just ended. I can teach Ms. Torrey how to write with her left hand.”
“Well…” Emily hesitated.
Brian hadn’t said Ariana could stay alone with the overseas expert.
Ariana noticed Emily’s hesitation and said, “Ms. Weston, this is part of my rehab, right?”
“Alright, then. If you need anything, just call me.”
Chapter 267
“Got it.”
Emily glanced at Simon before leaving with the people from the Lodge family.
Simon took off his white coat. “Ms. Torrey, shall we go?”
Ariana nodded, and they both walked out of the hospital.
