Chapter 295

Back when Ariana first enrolled at Glea College, Gwen had objected to her buying a property nearby, so she had always lived on campus. But given her current situation, staying in the dorms was no longer feasible. Even climbing stairs had become a challenge.
“You’ll just have to put up with this place for a few days. Leave the housing problem to Victor,” Simon said.
“That won’t be necessary,” Ariana replied. “I can’t trouble Mr. Smith with finding a place for me to live.”
“How could it not be his problem? Think about it–he’s partly to blame for you being in this place. He owes you at least some compensation, doesn’t he? Otherwise, it’s just not fair…”
Before he could finish, Simon suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. Turning around, he saw Victor standing silently behind him.
By now, the commotion had drawn a crowd of residents from the neighborhood. Victor’s limited–edition Maybach, parked conspicuously outside the run–down complex, became the center of everyone’s attention.
In this old neighborhood, a luxury car like that was a rare sight.
Seeing the growing crowd, Ariana wished they would all leave immediately. But as she climbed into the sleek luxury car alongside two strikingly handsome men, the murmurs among the crowd only grew louder.
“What kind of relationship do you think they have, all three of them together in broad daylight?”
“These young girls nowadays, always chasing after rich men. So shameless.”
Amid the gossiping voices, Fiona stepped out of the building. This was the cheapest housing complex near Glea College, and Fiona had lived there for a while. But now that she had been granted permission to stay at the Lodge family residence by Belinda, she was only here to pack up her things.
A nearby older woman recognized Fiona and called out, “Fifi! Take a look–aren’t those people from your school? That girl’s running off with two rich men!”
“Oh… Yeah.”
Fiona hadn’t gotten a clear look at the two men, but she immediately recognized Ariana. She was surprised to see Ariana still managing to cling to wealthy men even after leaving Brian.
A surge of jealousy coursed through Fiona as she thought about the cold reception she had endured at the Lodge residence over the past few days.
But then, she reassured herself. What did it matter how wealthy those men were? They couldn’t compare to Brian Lodge.
That thought brought Fiona some solace.
After all, if Ariana could secure an engagement with Brian by mimicking Evelyn, there was no reason why Fiona couldn’t do the same.
“College girls these days are so out of control. Just because they’ve got a pretty face, they think they can do whatever they want.”
“Exactly! I would never rent my place to a girl like that. It’s disgusting!”
“Leaving with two men in broad daylight? Such a disgrace!
