Chapter 312
Fiona’s classmates paused in surprise, thinking they might be mistaken.
They had assumed Fiona, who was supposed to be at the Lodge residence, couldn’t possibly be here.
She looked like she’d been kicked out.
Fiona wanted to avoid their eyes, but they had already spotted her.
One classmate asked doubtfully, “Fiona, is that you? What are you doing here?”
“Yeah, Fiona, weren’t you supposed to go to the Lodge residence? Why are you here by yourself?”
It was getting late, and the sky was growing dark.
It was unsafe for a woman to sit on the roadside alone, and she also had so much luggage.
Earlier today, Fiona had bragged to them about moving in with the Lodges. They even thought of visiting her there, yet now they found her on this dusty street.
Fiona felt awkward. “I got… I got kicked out”
She spoke vaguely. She didn’t say who actually kicked her get.
But when they thought about Fiona and Brian possibly having something going on, they quickly pinned the blame on Ariana.
“It must have been your spiteful cousin who kicked you out”
“I already said Ariana’s no good. She lost her fiancé to her cousin, so of course she’s upset.”
“But being upset is no excuse to kick you out. It’s so cold, and it’s already getting dark. Ariana sure is heartless.”
They all chimed in one after another.
Fiona saw they misunderstood but chose not to correct them. Better they think that than find out it was her landlord who kicked her out.
“Fiona, we’re friends. If you’ve got nowhere to go, just stay in our dorm.”
“Right, the dorm is way better than here, and we have a spare bed. Come with us.”
“Exactly. You’re moving into the Lodge residence in a few days anyway. Staying in the dorm for now is just as good.
These classmates wanted to strengthen their relationship with Fiona, hoping they could use her to meet wealthy
men later.
FIND
Fiona’s eyes lit up when she heard she could stay in the dorm.
She remembered her first time at Glea College. She loved how the dorm looked.
Their dorm was three people to a 200–square–meter unit with three bedrooms and a living room, all elegantly furnished like a luxury apartment.
