Chapter 321
However, Susan’s every move was completely different from Ariana’s. She was an aloof beauty, distant and untouchable.
“Brian, are you listening to me?” Evelyn asked again.
Brian came back to himself and answered flatly, “You’re overthinking. Ariana can’t be Susan. Maybe they just look
bit alike.”
One was a capable overseas executive. The other was a sheltered heiress who had never left Gleaston.
Ariana had spent all her time chasing him around, so there was no way she could have gone abroad to become Warto Group’s executive director.
Evelyn felt uneasy again. In the past, it was Ariana who worried her, and now it was Susan. Her intuition told her both were formidable threats.
During the reception, people made small talk. Many socialites who had previously flocked to Evelyn now drifted toward Ariana, since they saw how much attention she was getting from Brian and William.

“Ms. Smith, here’s to you.”
Standing not far away, Evelyn watched these women–who used to flatter her–switch sides in an instant. She felt an uncomfortable ache in her chest.

Evelyn glanced at Brian beside her. She saw that his gaze kept drifting to Susan again.
Right then, Ariana was talking with a foreign guest. They were using technical terms, speaking in a foreign language, and Ariana seemed completely at ease.
Even Evelyn, with her polished background, couldn’t understand half of it. So, Susan must have studied overseas for many years if she could speak so smoothly.
Seeing that, Brian’s earlier suspicion evaporated Ariana definitely couldn’t speak so fluently in a foreign language. Susan couldn’t possibly be Ariana.
Thinking of this, Brian averted his gaze and lost interest.
