Not to mention, Ariana had taken away the man Evelyn loved most, so Brennan probably wanted nothing more than to see her get bullied. 

“I’m fine. It’s just a prank between classmates.” 

Ariana couldn’t wait to leave Brennan. She tried to continue on her way, but he blocked her again. 

“Do you really not remember me at all? Not even a little?” 

Brennan’s face looked sincere. 

Ariana quickly shook her head. “I’m sorry, but I really don’t know you.! 

As soon as Ariana said this, Brennan pulled down his mask revealing the face everyone knew from the screen. 

As a very popular actor overseas, Brennan was undeniably handsome. But he looked exactly as Ariana remembered from her past life, so she showed no surprise. 

“I’m Brennan Lowell. Ariana, you really don’t remember me?” 

He spoke in a teasing tone. 

Ariana said, “You say you’re the superstar Brennan Lowell? Don’t joke around.” 

She tried to brush him off and walk away. 

Brennan followed close behind. “We met when we were little. I was bullied, and you spoke up for me. You really don’t remember?” 

Ariana rolled her eyes inwardly. He would say anything just to get close to her. She certainly didn’t recall ever meeting him as a child. 

He was an award–winning actor, after all, making up stories seemed easy for him. 

If she hadn’t already known about his history with Evelyn, she might have wondered for a moment whether they had met. 

“Sorry. Please don’t joke like that,” she said seriously, looking at him. 

She walked as fast as she could on her injured leg. Even though she tried to pick up the pace, it was no match for Brennan’s long strides. He easily caught up and blocked her path. 

Ariana felt helpless. “Is that how people flirt now? I know I’m pretty, but could you have a little respect and stop following me?” 

She blushed a bit as she said it because, honestly, Brennan’s face was far more striking than hers. 

Sure enough, he seemed stunned. He probably never thought he would be mistaken for some pushy guy on the 

street. 

By the time he came to his senses, Ariana was heading toward the campus gate. 

A short while later, Evelyn showed up, looking around for Brennan when she didn’t see him at the foot of the building.
