Chapter 345
“What? This…” The principal looked troubled. This had never happened before!
Brian’s voice dropped. “Is there a problem?”
“No… Of course not.” How could the principal dare to say otherwise? He wouldn’t risk offending the college’s financial backer.
Since Brian had spoken, the principal had no choice but to quietly instruct the invigilator to escort Ariana to a separate exam room.
Ariana frowned. What nonsense was this?
When they reached the adjacent exam room, the invigilator gestured for Ariana to sit.
Standing outside the classroom window was none other than Brian.
“Ariana, read the questions and tell me the answers. I’ll write them down for you.” The invigilator was unexpectedly kind, probably because she had never seen a student receive such special treatment and get an entire exam room just for her.
“Miss, I can take the exam in the original classroom,” Ariana replied.
“This is the principal’s decision. Your hand is injured and it would affect your ability to graduate,” the invigilator explained while picking up Ariana’s half–completed answer sheet.
The invigilator froze when she glanced at the test paper.
She looked up at Ariana in disbelief. Had she answered all these questions herself? Wasn’t she supposed to be someone who got in through connections?
“Then I’ll continue,” Ariana said calmly before reciting the rest of her answers.
The invigilator transcribed them, but the more she wrote, the more astonished she became.
This year’s graduation exam was notoriously difficult. Few students could complete it, especially with many tricky questions. Yet, Ariana was answering flawlessly.
Outside the room, Brian listened to her responses with furrowed brows.
The principal stood beside him. He didn’t know what was on Brian’s mind and cautiously asked, “Mr. Lodge…”
“Give me a copy of the exam paper,” Brian ordered.
“Yes, Mr. Lodge.” The principal quickly signaled for someone to hand Brian a copy.
Brian skimmed through it briefly. The questions were highly specialized and more challenging compared to previous years.
But as he continued listening to Ariana’s answers, his frown deepened.
“Mr. Lodge, is there something wrong?” the principal probed
He hadn’t seen the test paper, so he had no idea how well Ariana was doing.
“Has this exam paper been leaked before today?” Brian asked coldly.
“Leaked? Of course not. Only Mr. Smith requested to review it. Oh, and Mr. Kingsman as well. No one else,” the principal said.
