Chapter 390
In the video, Evelyn grabbed Brian’s arm, insisting that he help her resolve her graduation issue.
The video wasn’t long, but it had been shared over ten thousand times. Someone even threatened to send it to the Ministry of Education. If that happened, not even Brian could save lier.
Evelyn suddenly collapsed into her seat like a punctured balloon.
The other students in the class all stared at her strangely. She had never been looked at this way. Her face was dark with shame.
Outside the classroom, Ariana stood quietly, watching it all
The woman who Brian used to treasure was now getting these kinds of stares. It hurt to be judged like that, didn’t it?
When Ariana was falsely accused of cheating, these same people had looked at her with scorn and suspicion. Now she was just returning the favor.
Evelyn noticed Ariana outside the classroom and rushed our grabbing her arm frantically. “It was you, wasn’t it? You posted that video online! Why are you doing this to me, Ariana? You’re the one who stole what was mine!”
“Let go!” Ariana shoved Evelyn away.
Evelyn was no match for Ariana’s strength and staggered backward, falling to the floor. More and more people gathered around.
Ariana looked down at Evelyn. “You brought this on yourself. You had passing grades, but you got greedy and wanted to be first. You asked others to help you alter your exam papers. How could a person like you be the president of the student union? Why shouldn’t you face punishment? Do you really think Brian can protect you forever? Stop dreaming!”
Evelyn saw the looks on everyone’s faces and grew even more upset. “Ariana, you set me up! I never cheated! That video is fake!”
“Fake? Were the student union members who helped you alter the exam papers also fake? I’m sure they have plenty to say to you. If not for your suggestion, they wouldn’t have been expelled right before graduation.” Evelyn froze when she heard this.
The other students who had gone with Evelyn to the proctor’s office to alter the exam papers were now heading
toward her.
These same friends who used to butter her up in the past made her feel cornered.
In the end, she had only tried to protect herself when things fell
apart.
“Evelyn, you’re so selfish. You said nobody would find out. We trusted you. You tore up Ariana’s exam papers, you’re the only one who gets to graduate safely. We’re just our scapegoats! Why shouldn’t you be punished?”
