Ariana kept her eyes on the door.
At that moment, the footsteps stopped right outside. The person seemed to be eavesdropping on Ariana and Brian through the door.
Brian looked up and saw Ariana’s delicate jaw. His gaze couldn’t help but travel downward until he saw her collarbones. Then, he looked further down, where her cleavage was ever–so–slightly visible.
Ariana smelled nice. It wasn’t the fragrance of a body powder nor the intense smell of a perfume. Instead, it was a natural and pleasant bodily scent. She had a clean smell, which made Brian unable to stop himself from getting closer to her.
That was when Ariana shouted, “What do you think you’re doing, Mr. Lodge?”
Her shout indicated how taken aback she was.
Ariana tugged at her clothes out of the blue. Upon realizing she couldn’t rip it apart, she reached for Brian’s clothes instead.
The ripping of Brian’s shirt filled the air, and Brian’s expression turned grim at once. “How dare you,
Arlan-
Ariana stared straight at Brian with a smug look that implied, “Yeah, I ripped your shirt. What are you going to do about it?” At the same time, Ariana spoke with a fakely sweet tone. “Let me go, Mr. Lodge! You already have Evelyn!”
Brian snorted rather than felt upset by the show Ariana was putting on. He then flipped Arlana onto the bed, pressing her down.
Ariana was unprepared for his sudden attack. She instinctively yelped, which sounded suggestive.
That left Brian feeling like he had the upper hand.
Ariana gritted her teeth and lowly ordered, “Let me go, Brian!”
“Didn’t you start putting on this show first, Ms. Torrey? You should make it more believable, then.” Having said that, Brian pinched Ariana’s waist hard.
It was so painful that Ariana inhaled sharply. She also let out a yelp again. The pain caused the rim of her eyes to water up.
Brian’s eyes subconsciously gleamed. It was like the lust that took him a lot of effort to suppress earlier suddenly ignited again.
The person outside the door was Francine Cotter, the Lodge residence’s housekeeper.
She heard the commotion and couldn’t help snickering. After that, they sneaked downstairs and excitedly spoke to -Belinda, who had also returned home. “You can rest assured, Mrs. Lodge Senior! I’ve just eavesdropped on them,
and they sound like they’re having loads of fun!”
Francine bore a grin that didn’t explicitly say what the couple were doing. Yet, her message was clear enough to Belinda.
Only then did Belinda nod in satisfaction. “Good. That makes all my efforts to get them together worth it!”
Upstairs, Ariana noticed the eavesdropper had left. She sighed in relief and looked at Brian to say, “They’ve left, Mr. Lodge. I doubt we’d need to keep up with this act anymore. Right?”

“Who says I was acting?” There was a hint of playfulness in Brian’s voice.
