Chapter 90
“Hurry up!” Brian’s voice was laced with impatience.
Emily nodded and quickly made her way upstairs.
She stood outside Ariana’s door, knocked, and called out, “Ms. Torrey, Mr. Lodge requests your presence
downstairs.”
There was no response from inside.
Frowning, Emily called again, “Ms. Torrey?”
Still, there was no answer.
With a sigh, she muttered, “With all due respect, Ms. Torrey,” before pushing the door open.
The room was tidy, but Ariana was nowhere to be found.
Panicked, Emily dashed downstairs. “Mr. Lodge, she’s… She’s gone!”
Brian’s expression darkened as he hurried upstairs.
Sure enough, Ariana’s room was empty.
His face grew even grimmer.
“Mr. Lodge, do you think she might have run away?”
“As if that’s not obvious,” Brian replied coldly. “Call her now.”
“Yes, sir.”
Emily quickly pulled out her phone and dialed Ariana’s number, but it went straight to voicemail.
“Mr. Lodge, I can’t reach her.”
Brian’s face darkened as he let out a bitter laugh. “So, Ariana doesn’t care about the Torrey family anymore, she?”
does
Just then, Emily’s eyes widened as she stared at a breaking news notification on her phone. “Mr. Lodge, look at this!”
The news article announced a partnership between Torrey Co, and Kingsman Co.
It also revealed that William had personally invested two billion dollars into Torrey Co.
“Mr. Lodge.”
“Get out!”
Brian’s expression was dark and stormy.
So, Ariana had already planned her escape.
Did she really think that partnering with Kingsman Co. would put her beyond his reach?
“Find her,” Brian ordered coldly. “I want to see where Ariana thinks she can run to.”
“Yes, Mr. Lodge.”
Chapter 90
Meanwhile, on the campus of Silverstone University of Finance…
‘Holy cow! You really just walked out like that?”
Selena’s jaw nearly dropped at what Ariana had done.
“What else was I supposed to do? Stay and play maid at the Lodge’s place?”
“Damn, girl! You’re bold!”
Selena gave Ariana a thumbs–up. “You’re really not worried about Brian’s revenge?”
Ariana shrugged. “What’s there to be afraid of? Is he going to chase me all the way to school? Don’t worry, Brian’s not that obsessed with me–or that bored.”
