A Flash Marriage Can Be A Treasure novel Chapter 504

"Our family is an exception, so don't think too much about it!"

"That won't do." John says, "I sent a list and asked Victor to go to the mall to buy the listed items. I'm afraid your mother will not let you marry me because she has an opinion with me."

"You..." Lily doesn't know what to say, but in the end, she just lets him do it.

"When will we return to Country R?"

"I'm not going back. Victor will be back in a few days." John peels a grape and gives it to her. "You are quite busy with the business of the company. I'll stay with you and we'll leave together then."

Lily says, "Then after lunch, let's go pick the rings if we're free in the afternoon."

John's fingertips stops at her cheeks, and his eyes are filled with smiles.

"Alright."

"Time for lunch." Daisy comes out of the kitchen with the soup and interrupts their affection.

Lily takes John to the dining hall to eat.

She serves a bowl of rib soup to John and says, "My mother cooked it. It's especially delicious. Try it!"

John takes two sips and praises with a smile, "It's delicious. It turns out you have good cooking skills because of your mom."

"Hey, if you want to praise my mom, it's fine, but don't tease me." Lily elbows him and snorts, "Otherwise, I won't bring you here in the future and you can't eat the food my mother cooked!"

"Fine. It's my fault. I shouldn't have said that."

"..."

Daisy, who is sitting opposite, watches them quarrel.

The young man has a smile on his face all the time and his eyes are fixed on her daughter, as if he only has her in his heart.

Afraid that Lily's hair will drop into the soup bowl, he even tied it with a hairband.

The man's every move is gentle.

Daisy sees all of this and thinks that it will be good for Lily to marry this man.

After lunch, Lily helps Daisy tidy up the utensils.

Daisy glances at Lily and finds that Lily's belly is a little bulging when placed against the cabinet door. She immediately understands what is going on and pulled her to a corner. "Lily, are you pregnant?"

Seeing that Daisy has discovered it, Lily does not conceal it from her, "Yeah."

"For how long?"

"More than five months."

Daisy stares at her belly for a long time as if she doesn't know how to react, "Whose?"

"I've brought my boyfriend home. What do you think?" Lily turns around and turns the faucet to wash the bowls and chopsticks in the sink. "I'm just pregnant. Don't make a fuss."

"I'll do it. Go." Daisy hurriedly takes a towel and wipes the water off Lily's hand. "The detergent hurts your hand. You're pregnant, don't touch it!"

Lily feels wry. "It won't hurt the baby. Mom, don't act like this."

"Do less chores when at my place. It's not like I can't do it," Daisy asks as she washes the dishes, "Is it because you're pregnant that you want to marry John?"

"No, I really want to marry him."

"Then why didn't you tell me about such a big matter?" Daisy looks at her belly again and says in a dissatisfied tone, "If I hadn't noticed, you wouldn't tell me until you give birth, would you?"

"I didn't tell you because I was afraid that you would be too nervous." Lily has a headache, "Besides, you are busy with your shop."

"Look at you. No matter how busy the shop is, it's not as important as my grandson! Lily, why didn't you ask the company for maternity leave and came back to me so I could take care of you? You can't have a child without taking in enough nutrition."

...

"Lily, how many babies are you carrying? Do you have regular maternity checkups?"

...

Unable to withstand Daisy's question, Lily sneaks out of the kitchen and hurries John away with her coat and bag.
