Chapter 233
Theodore’s my kid, right? Anthony kept the thought to himself, refraining from uttering it aloud, but the idea took root in his heart. It filled him with excitement, lighting his face with an involuntary grin.
habella gazed at him with a puzzled expression and asked, “What’s gotten into you?
Anthony smiled and said, “I just figured something out, and it made me really happy”
Feeling perplexed, Isabella simply ignored him, focusing on her work as she gazed down.
Cynthia and her friends sat together in the yard, which felt noticeably emptier now that Hunk and his group had gone
Cynthia glanced over at Liam, who was working remotely on his phone, and was struck by the realization that they had been away too long. A mountain of tasks must be piled up at Sullivan Group, and they couldn’t afford any more delays.
Before this, Liam was already swamped with company duties, often coming home late. One could only imagine the workload that had accumulated during their absence.
Glancing at Evan, who was serenely sipping his coffee, Cynthia hesitated before speaking. “Master Buckley, we have been back for so many days. There’s a ton of work waiting for us at the company. We should head home”
Upon hearing this, Evan paused. After a moment, his thick eyebrows knitted together, and his dark gray eyes widened. He slammed his mug onto the table, causing coffee to spill everywhere.
“Back for just a few days and already ready to leave! Guess you’ll forget about me as soon as you’re back,” he sneered.
His abrupt action sent a ripple of surprise through the yard, leaving them exchanging uneasy glances, too afraid to break the silence.
“Master Buckley, I’ve recently taken charge at Larson Group. There’s a lot to sort out there. Once things are stable, I’ll come back to check on you, Cynthia reassured Evan, knowing he didn’t want her to leave. They hadn’t been separated for this long since she was a child.
Evan, a man of traditional values who wasn’t adept at sharing his thoughts, often seemed temperamental whenever he felt upset
Cynthia stood and walked over to Evan, taking his hand and playfully suggesting. “Master Buckley, I could never forget about you both. How abour I return to keep you company for another couple of months once things settle at Larson Group”
Cynthia spoke sofily, letting her voice linger at the end of her sentence. Even the elders found it hard to resist her coy demeanor.
Evan thoroughly enjoyed it. No matter how ferious he might be, her actions could instantly dissipate his anger. His expression softened, but the thought of Cynthia leaving once more left ham feeling down, and he turned away with a pout.
Cynthia raised her eyebrows, musing Master Buckley seems to be handling things well today!
Deciding it was time for her ultimate move. Cynthia embraced Evan tightly and kissed his cheek tenderly. Playfully, she pinched both sides of his face, stretching his loose skin-
“Master Buckley, please don’t be upset. I swear I’ll come back to see you as soon as I can, Cynthia vowed, extending her right hand and raising three fingers.
Evan’s demeanor softened at last. He gazed at Cynthia with fondness and resignation, sighed, and relented, saying, “Fine, you can leave after staying here for three more days”
“Deal” Cynthia agreed.
Haller rolled his eyes at Evan’s double standards. He, too, once saw himself as Evan’s disciple. There was an occasion when he made a mistake and mimicked Cynthia’s playful behavior, but Evan nearly grabbed a broom to discipline him. “It’s disgraceful for a man to act like a little girl,” Evan had scolded. After that, Hallet never dared to act that way again.
With the response in hand, Cynthia prepared to relay the information to Liam. Turning around, she found Liam, who was supposed to be immersed in his work, staring at her intensely.
To be exact, the sight of Cynthia kissing Evan’s cheek had stirred something in Lian’s heart, pulling his focus away from his work. As Cynthia approached, he set his phone aside and enveloped her in his arms, wrapping them around her waist.
“Do you often act like that to Evan?” he asked
“Yeah” Cynthia answered, nodding: She was feeling cheerful and intended to tell Liam about what had transpired.
Before she could say anything, the man beside her voked stemly. “Don’t ever give out kisses freely like that. Your master’s a man, too.”
Cynthia lifted her gaze in surprise, finding the man’s face clouded with gloom. It dawned on her that this possessive man was feeling jealous. Her

big eyes blinked as she leaned toward Liam’s face, teasing. “Feeling jealous, hmm?”
“No,” Liar stated, turning his face away in a display of pride. He avoided looking at her directly, his discontent still evident.
Cynthia cursed inwardly, “Ugh, why are these guys so emotional! Just finished dealing with one, and now I’ve got to comfort another.
Sporting an ingratiating smile, she clasped her hands tightly around the man’s sturdy arms and explained. “Honey, I figured Sullivan Group has a bunch of stuff waiting for you, so I wanted to head back fast. But Master Buckley got a bit upset, so I had to act like that to cheer him up. He’s old- school, so not everyone’s cure tricks work on him. If you don’t believe me, ask Hallet to give it a shot.
Liam straightened up, acknowledging he had no reason to be jealous of Evan, though his demeanor remained unchanged. Turning to Cynthia, he gently lifted her chin, leaving her puzzled

Of all the terrible translations this is by far the worst. Garbled rubbish with different languages in between. I wouldn't recommend this novel!...
