Yolanda was consumed with jealousy as she looked at Cynthia whom Liam tightly held in his arms. 

She took a deep breath and clenched her dress to calm herself down. 

It was silent in the office. 

When Liam lifted his head to look at her for the first time, Yolanda was filled with hope again, thinking that Liam 

had become soft–hearted. 

As she was about to say something with a smiling look, Liam said coldly, “If you aren’t here to apologize, please leave. My wife and I are going to have lunch.” 

There was no tenderness on his face. 

Yolanda’s heart sank tremendously. 

Florence warned her with her eyes to contain her rage as Florence squeezed her arm from behind. 

They had to solve the current predicament. 

Yolanda had to lower her head with grievance and unwillingness. She closed her eyes, slowly bowed, and said in at low voice, “Ms. Larson, I apologize for what I did yesterday. I’m sorry! 

After saying that, she straightened up and looked at the indifferent man next to Cynthia. 

Liam still had a strong charisma and was extremely attractive. 

Eileen had loved Liam for so long, but now he was holding another woman in his arms. 

She could not accept that. 

It was all because of Cynthia. She promised herself that one day she would make Cynthia pay for the humiliation. she had endured today and take back Liam. 

As Yolanda still kept her head down, Florence felt distressed for her and said to Liam, “Eileen has apologized. Can you remove the articles on trending topics?” 

Liam started taking over Sullivan Group when he became an adult. It was the first time he had ever seen someone apologize in such a way, despite having dealt with a wide range of people. 

He didn’t want Cynthia to be wronged and was about to say something when a clear voice uttered, “About the trending topic, we will keep our word since Ms. Wilde has realized her mistake.”

“Thank you for your mercy, Ms. Larson.” Florence was about to leave with Yolanda. 

When they walked to the door, Liam said in a deep and cold voice, “Mrs. Wilde, please discipline your granddaughter in the future. Don’t let her do such a self–degrading thing again.” 

After they left, Cynthia was still leaning in Liam’s arms, feeling warm inside. 

She was as cute as a child. 

Pinching her nose dotingly, Liam praised, “Who said you grew up in the countryside? I don’t think ordinary people. are as informative and insightful as you. 

“Do you feel aggrieved to forgive them so easily?” 

Cynthia shook her head. “Tonly care about how you treat me. 

After saying that, she leaned against his chest and acted like a spoiled child. 

His heart softened at the sight of her adorable self. 

“Okay, let’s go have dinner.” 

The two sat on the couch hand in hand and put the dishes on the table. 

There were four light dishes and one soup. 

Winnie was really good at cooking. The food had been put in the lunch box for so long, but it still tasted good. 

Suddenly, Cynthia recalled Winnie’s words that Liam had a stomachache recently. 

She immediately stopped Liam from eating and then took out a box from her bag. 

There was a black pill in the box. As soon as the lid was opened, the unique smell of the pill pervaded the entire 

room.

Liam didn’t want to eat anything strange and refused to take the pill although Cynthia’s hand started to get sore. 

“This pill can treat numerous hidden illnesses in the body other than stomach disorders. Many people don’t have the resources to buy it even though they have money.” 

Cynthia didn’t dare to tell him the specific effect of the pill as she was afraid that she couldn’t explain it clearly. 

It was called panacea, and its raw materials, such as Crystal Snow Grass, could only be found in the dangerous 

areas at the border, so it was very expensive. 

This pill might save a person’s life even though it couldn’t revive the dead. 

The pill took effect quickly. Although using it to treat stomach illness would be a bit of a waste, she offered it to him because she didn’t want him to suffer from it. 

“Eat it now,” said Cynthia, reaching out her hand again. 

Liam then moved to sit across from her.

Liam deeply regretted lying to Cynthia that he was having a stomachache so she could get him some food.
