Honestly, if my art teacher hadn't told me, in person, that ‘General Grey’ was such a color, even I won’t believe it!
“What to do? You pretend to make such a big show, but, you do not know how to dye and weave at all. Without Carrie, I will have to close the factory.”
As she said that, she crouched down on the floor and cried.
Looking at her helpless look, I didn't know how to comfort her. I was not good at expressing myself, especially in front of her. I was so flustered that my tongue was like a knot and I couldn't say anything with a red face.
Later, I squatted down and gently tugged her arm. Although she was the owner of the factory, she was only twenty years old.
“Sis, please... please trust me.”
I touched her arm and felt myself stammering.
“Who the hell are you? I don't even know you! Why did I believe your bullshit and now I'm making such a big joke!”
She had tears in her big eyes, looking especially beautiful. I wished to take her into my arms, love and protect her.
Afterwards her phone rang, it was Director Lau urging. She held her sobs, squatting there with a difficult face.
I pinched my arm hard, and the pain made my stiff tongue relax a little. I hurriedly leaned over to her ear and explained to her quietly.
The next moment, her slender eyebrows arched slightly and she looked at me with a particularly funny and curious look, asking,
“Are you telling the truth?”
I nodded and to my surprise she held her laughter and punched me lightly and said
“Why are you so bad?! Why didn't you tell me earlier?”
With that she got up in a hurry and I hurried to follow her towards the conference room.
On the way I admonished her again.
“Make sure it's ice water and keep the temperature at zero degrees.”
She smiled and called her secretary, and then we went into the conference room together.
“Well, how is it? Where's General Grey? Get it out and show me!”
When he saw us, Director Lau stood up immediately.
I pulled the one-foot yellow cloth out of my pocket. To be honest it really wasn't very aesthetically pleasing, not much different in color than a diaper.
“Pfft!”
Carrie narrowed her tricky little eyes and said with her hand over her mouth, laughing.
“Is this the General Grey? Haha, Director Lau, you're fifty, and you're actually being fooled by a young man.”
Then all the people in the conference room laughed. Director Lau had evolved directly from disappointment to anger. He slammed his hand on the table and said.
“Baster! How dare you? And you, Clara, you don’t do anything right. You're a disgrace to your mother!”
As Clara was to explain, Carrie laughed and said.
“Director Lau, after tossing and turning for most of the day, this project should have settlement, right?! I am ok you defended Miss Clara, but if you involved in the acquisition of Blue Butterfly, I will have to tell my cousin.”
Director Lau gritted his teeth and stared Clara with hatred and said.
“Brainless girl. Hurry up and buy her factory so that she will not disgrace her mother again.”
“Had enough of cursing? Who is brainless? Who disgrace my mother?!”
I didn't know what was wrong with me at the time, but when I heard people insulting Clara, I yelled out almost without thinking!
It was okay for others to insult me and call me names, but not in front of so many people, to insult my savior!
I didn't care who he was. As long as I was around, no one could humiliate her, not even her own father!
