A Promising Youth novel Chapter 22

I didn't have that much money, but I bet Sienna could lend me the money.

I took my phone out and made a call to Sienna. Everyone was looking straight at me, wondering how a boy in a cheap suit got 2.6 million.

I made a call to her, but embarrassingly, she did not pick up. When I tried again, Bill laughed straight out!

“Stop pretending!

I'm afraid you can’t not get 2.6 million even if you sell yourself.”

When he spoke, those around him followed suit.

“Has he ever seen so much money?”

“Hey, it's me. I'm in a bit of trouble right now. Can I have 2.6 million?”

“Ok, I'll send you the account right away, ok, thanks!”

After hanging up the phone, I turned my head to Bill and said.

“Give me the bank account!”

At the sound of the words, everyone was dumbfounded!

Clara looked at me incredulously.

“You... you really borrowed it?”

Bill gritted his teeth in panic.

“You... you, where on earth did you get so much money?”

In fact, Sienna did not answer my call, but I had to stall for time.

After all, we did not have much time. It only had 4 fours before the delivery. If it was delayed, Clara's factory would fail to run even if we had the money.

Taking a deep breath, I said.

“Give me your account. Now!”

Large sum of money were complicated to transfer and it would cost half a day.

Bill's eyes flickered. He then suddenly changed his tone and said.

“It is not 2.6 million, but 3 million! You have delayed for two months. The liquidated damages at least are half a million!”

“How much is it exactly? Give me an exact amount and I'll transfer to you!”

I asked, staring at him coldly.

“3 million, not a penny less, or I will never let you start work!”

He looked at me sheepishly.

They were not here to collect the debt at all, but to deliberately obstruct our production and spoil the project.

“How much did you take from Carrie? We offer double the price!”

That was the only explanation that made the most sense.

“Heh, talk tall Carrie promised that as long as we mess up your project, she'll allow me to put in 2% of the shares to JL Garment Factory.”

Bill squinted his eyes and clasped his arms.

“Brother, save your breath. Once you have offended Carrie, you will be screwed sooner or later.”

After hearing that, I leaned over to Clara's ear and whispered something. She frowned, nodded nervously and said.

“Bill, we are willing to give you 10% of our shares to offset the money we owe you.”

“What? Miss Clara, are you kidding me?

This shitty factory is going to be over and you want to put 3 million in it?

I am uneducated, but I am not a fool!”

He waved the flesh on his face. His eyes were full of disdain!

“So are you going to agree or not? Give me your answer!”

I cut to the chase.

“No! I am a scoundrel, and I am going to spoil your project, you can call the police, though.”

He sat down on the curb like a scoundrel.

I knew that they were not afraid police to arrest them. They would sent more people to stop our production.

“Well then, Bill, are you sure you don't want the 10% share?”
