A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 189

Chapter 189

That drove Zane up the wall. “You bitch! How date you say that about your uncle?”.

Sage held a teacup made of glass in her hands and fiddled with it as she said lightly, “You should be feeling lucky that you’re my uncle. Your brain would be blown into bits right now if you weren’t!”

As she said it, she flew the teacup in Zane’s direction. The glass brushed against his cheeks and then landed on the glass cabinet behind him, shattering into pieces. Fractured glass scattered everywhere on the floor, and Zane’s heart skipped a beat:

It scared the living daylight out of Leah as well. She unconsciously sat up straight, and she felt her heart almost give out. If the glass did fly straight to Zane’s head, he really might have died there and then.

Sage was never one to go back on her words. She always did what she said.

Zane held his head and hid under the table. He looked at the shattered glass on the floor and shivered as if he was experiencing hypothermia; though it was a bright warm day.

He touched his cheeks. One side of his cheekbones was swollen and painful to the touch. Zane stood up and looked at Sage in horror. He finally realized that Sage was being true to her words. She was not the little girl being chased around by her uncle anymore. She’s a venomous snake!

He had a feeling that this niece of his will not let him live comfortably from now on. She might even be crueler than her father.
