Chapter 190
Yeva should have been happy when her father mentioned her marriage to Julian. However, she could not even force out a smile as she was reminded of Julian’s attitude towards her lately.
Braxton saw his daughter’s expression and asked, “What’s wrong Yeva? Something going on between you and Julian?”
Yeva sat by the bed, looking down, and in a wronged tone, “He cheated on me.”
“That son of a bitch! He has another girl?” asked Braxton furiously.
She smiled bitterly, not just another girl, he had at least three different girls that she knew of. The exact amount, that she’ll never know.
She could try to fix the relationship if he had one, or even two girls… but she can’t put up a fight if she doesn’t know who or how many she’s against. It would be useless.
As Braxton outwardlyt cursed him, Yeva explained to her dad, “He’s just more playful than others. He treats me well… and he never mentioned breaking up with me. I’ll always be the only Mrs. Jefferson.”
Braxton’s furrowed brows eased up. Although he was mad, deep inside he knew it was not anything too serious. He could not believe that his Yeva was more mature than he thought.
“That’s right. I knew I can count on my daughter to be a reasonable little woman.” Braxton sighed with relief and patted her hands a she comforted her, “Listen to me. Men are built differently from women. For some women, you need to choose your husband carefully as you only get one chance at having a good man.”
