A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 629

Chapter 629

The car started shaking violently immediately after that. The vibration frequency was almost like that of a heavy duty machine, and a woman’s leg was raised high up, the sole of her high heel shoe pushing against the windshield.

Zayne quickly paused the video, his heart pounding fast in his chest. He sneaked a peek at Jace through the corner of his eyes.

Jace was still his expressionless self, there was not a single emotion seen on his face, except that his eyes showed contempt this time.

Jace passed the phone back to Zayne, and said casually, “Save the videos and photos, they may come in handy in the near future.”

Sage’s life in Birmingham was busy but fruitful.

There were lots of parties, balls, and dances organized in this city. She did not have the chance to attend so many social events back home, and decided to let herself loose in Birmingham to compensate for it.

She wore a corset top and puffy dress, a fancy hat on top of head, and took off for the event in her horse carriage.

As one of the rare few foreigners in the event, Sage had gotten as much attention as she desired.

She was not her usual discreet self, but was totally not shy to have a lot of fun with Robert and the others. There were people coming up to chat with her every now and then, and she handled all of them.

She was one fine socialite.

Her elegant appearance and impeccable sense of fashion made her stand out so much. She was like a walking rose, so elegant that no one could ever objectify her in any despicable way. However, it was also inevitable to have attracted unnecessary jealousy and hate when she was holding herself up so well. Sage was happily chatting with a Duke, when a girl dressed in a black gown and black mesh hat strode over. She held red wine in one of her hands.

As soon as she passed by Sage’s side, her wine glass was slanting downwards, almost dripping its content to whatever that was underneath. A hand reached out swiftly to stabilize the glass.

Sage’s sweet voice said, “Miss, please watch out for your glass.” The lady turned around, and their eyes locked. She introduced hersell, “I am the owner of Humming Hills, Catherine Meyer-Brown. I am widowed, everyone calls me Madam Meyer.” Sage had her manners, she nodded and said, “Sage, pleasure.”

The Duke sensed that the two were going to have a conversation, and left them.

“Are you the sister of Duke Timothy?” Madam Meyer asked, “Are you also a Shelby?”
