A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 636

Chapter 636

“What do you mean by raising a small kid?” Sage complained, “Tim, your choice of word is very special. You make it sounds like I’m raising a puppy.”

Tim lifted his brows to show Sage that was exactly what he meant. “You didn’t?”

Sage was out of words. Then, she refuted, “Of course not! Where are you going with this? Do you think I’m that kind of person?” Although she did and used to have that thought in her mind, she never actually did it yet… Hence, the answer to that question is no! “A puppy isn’t suitable for you,” Tim started to discuss the topic with her. He said seriously,” You need a big dog, that can take care of you and protect you.” ‘A big dog… I might end up being eaten alive,’ Sage thought.

Since they were on that topic, Sage refuted, “You shouldn’t be together with a widow too. Madam Meyer and you are not suitable to be together.”

Tim’s eyes suddenly turned cold when he heard the name, Madam Meyer.

Jace kept on fiddling with his phone and played the few voice messages Jace sent repeatedly. The last sentence warmed his heart and he felt butterflies in his stomach. He felt like he was on cloud nine, being surrounded by happiness he never experienced before

Even though those words were meant for Zachary, he was still touched by them and pretended that she was talking to him. He hoped that one day, she could use such a light and coaxing tone to talk to him. How good would it be if she was talking to him instead of Zachary? While he indulged in his fantasy, his mother called. He answered it with a gentle and soft tone. Freya immediately knew something was wrong with her son, “Did Sage contact you?”

Jace was speechless. ‘Was it that obvious?’

Tim looked at Sage indifferently, “I told you, nothing is going on between us.” “Is it?” Since they were already on the topic, Sage felt the necessity to get the fact right, “You two slept together. You call that nothing? I didn’t know the people in Birmingham are so open now.” She talked weirdly. Tim frowned, “Who told you? Catherine Meyer-Brown?”

“Who else?” It was not often that Sage is so strong-willed with her brother, “I guess she might think of me as her rival in love and told me a lot of odd things. Anyway, it’s just some small tricks that women often used.”
