Sage was in the kitchen learning to bake pastries with a pastry chef. In the middle of it, she received a call from Luther. 

Since she was out of the country, Sage had Luther keep an eye on things going on back in the country. 

Luther started rambling, “That minister is quite alert, I have to say. We nearly got caught a few times for following him.” Holding the phone between her ears and her shoulders, Sage placed a tray of cookie dough into the oven. 

“You followed him on your own?” 

Luther responded, “Do you think I’m that free?” 

He then snorted, “If I have the time to follow him around, isn’t it easier for him to just hack into the CCTV systems? I’ve hired a private investigator and guess what? Seems like someone else is looking into him too.” 

“Someone else?” 

Sage adjusted the temperature, removed her hand gloves, frowned, and asked, “Who?” 

Luther said, “Guess.” 

“Jace Yuriel?” 

Luther responded, “Sh*t! How do you know it’s him?” 

Sage replied flatly, “If it was someone else, you wouldn’t even have cared to tell me.” 

Luther was speechless 

Sulking, he then asked, “So do you still want to hear it or not?” 

“Yes.” 

Sage added, “Go on, I’m listening…” Luther told her that Lucas used some connection to release Luna on a bail and Sage knitted her brows into a frown. She sniggered, “I must say that Chief Lucas is quite loyal to Luna huh.” Luther replied, “After all, Luna’s carrying his child. For the sake of his child, he’d need to find a solution to get Luna out of jail.” 

“Well, what timing for Luna to get pregnant, don’t you think? And it’s exactly when she was in jail. Don’t you find it weird?” 

Sage sounded skeptical. “Are you implying that Luna faked her pregnancy?” Luther was stunned. Luna was approved on medical parole because she was pregnant, but if the pregnancy was faked, then things would quickly become serious. Sage recalled the time when Luna drove her car to hit her, Luna wore a pair of heels. Someone like Luna who was desperate to be pregnant, would not have put herself in such a dangerous situation. 

However, it is naturally possible that she only found out that she was pregnant when she served her time. However, judging from Luna’s age, there was a higher chance that she was experiencing menopause than getting pregnant.
