Chapter 762 In the first week of November, Sage officially joined the film crew for the movie ‘The Double Life of Veronique‘.
As soon as the news got out, it received a lot of attention from the public and the media.
The movie was directed by the well–known Lincoln John, and the script was written by the one and only Chitose. The Oscar–winning actress and actor, Suki West and Seth Hector, as well as Dean Sylas, would all be starring in the movie too. Director Lincoln and Chitose had been working with Suki and Seth on quite a few productions, and the public had already seen it coming. They, too, were not surprised to find Dean Sylas working on the movie as well. What surprised them the most was that Sage Norah would be starring in the movie too. Sage Norah was finally entering the entertainment industry. Not only was she starring in a documentary, but she was also starring in movies now. Even though Sage had got the looks to be an actress, the public was skeptical as to whether she would be a good actress. Netizens started leaving comments on her social media. [Miss Sage, isn‘t it good enough to be a pretty female CEO? Why would you insist on being in a movie?]
[Are you not earning enough? You’re one of the richest in Salem City and also the CEO of Yuriel Group, aren‘t you? What could possibly make you want to be an actress?] [People like you should be working behind the scenes, supporting the crew. Since when do investors do everything on their own?] The public opinions were divided, with only a few showing their support. Most of them were trying to discourage her.
Luther could not stand to read the comments anymore and wanted to report the comments, but Sage stopped him. “I was the one who made my social media public. Do you really think that I‘d be affected by how people think about me?” Sage was in one of the trailers on the film set. Sage was doing some stretching and warm–ups dressed in her character‘s outfit. “Let them criticize and say whatever they want. I‘ll just keep doing my best silently. Once the movie is out, I‘ll make sure that those people who criticized me can‘t help but think that I did well for the movie.” Luther scoffed. “You said it as if you‘re confident with your acting skills.” “Well, to be fair, what I have most is my self–confidence.” Even though Sage sounded confident, she was slightly worried and anxious.
When she was younger, she used to spend most of her time on film sets, and she had taken up acting lessons at Nadeem City for three years.
However, acting in front of all the cameras and film crew was a different case. Some actors were great in their actions when the cameras were off, but they would go all stiff and awkward when the cameras were turned on.
A saying went, ‘The best acting is when you‘re able to play the role of yourself the best.’ Seth had written the script in reference to her. Hence, Sage was confident that she would be able to play her character well. She did not have to worry about the sales of the movie box as the movie did not rely solely on her to make a profit.
“Sage, you‘re up.”
Seth came to get Sage for her next scene.
Actors usually have their own assistants, but Sage shared Seth and Suki‘s assistant.
Sage‘s time for the shooting was limited; hence, her scenes were all arranged on the same day, and most of the scenes were fighting scenes.
Lincoln came over to walk her through the plot, whereas the stunt coordinator went over the moves with her. Sage was listening to them attentively.
“Got it. Should we run a rehearsal?”
“Yeah, let‘s.”
