Chapter 766 Time flew by. The weather was starting to get cold as winter approached.
Sage finally completed filming The Double Life of Veronique. Without any delay, she quickly went back to the company to start on the second series of Forget Me Not. Under the utmost care from Melody and everyone else, Yale was on the road to recovery. He had started his rehab and attempted to walk.
Sage was so busy that she did not have the time to visit him. “That‘s about it. Compile what I said and inform every department.”
Henry and Zachary closed their laptops and responded before leaving. It was another all nighter for Sage. She was very sleepy and mentally tired. Looking at the pile of documents, she did not dare to sleep even though that was what she desired the most.
She took a sip of coffee to stay awake then she decided to tie up her hair. After gathering her hair into a bun, she looked for something to hold it in place. As she opened her drawer, she saw that wooden hairpin. She paused while looking at it. That wooden hairpin seemed to always show up at places she could reach easily, and she often saw it by coincidence.
After a few months, the color of the wooden hairpin seemed to be darker with signs of aging. Looking at it now, it really did look like an antique that had been through decades and centuries. Sage sighed and used the wooden hairpin to hold her hair and secured it tightly behind her head. As Sage continued to work for a while, someone knocked on the door. Zayne opened the door to inform, “Miss Sage, Mister Yoel is here.” ‘Yoel?‘ Sage raised her head and said plainly, “Let him in.” “Hello, pretty. Did you miss me?” When Yoel entered the Yuriel Group, he caused a group of women to fangirl over him. After all, Yoel was really a handsome guy; after half a year, he had become more mature. However, it was an entirely different case when he was in front of Sage. In the end, he was still a careless and casual guy.
Unlike the usual sophisticated and pleasing person she was in front of other people, Sage was blunt when she replied to Yoel‘s question, “No.”
“Tsk, tsk. So heartless. At least a lie will be good.” Yoel smiled and gave Sage a bouquet of flowers. “Here. It‘s for you.”
Sage took a look at it. “I‘m not your mother. Why are you giving me carnations?”
No one else other than Yoel would give a woman a bouquet of carnations. Oh, wait, she had forgotten about Jace. That insensitive and headstrong man would do the same thing too. Yoel lifted his leg and sat on Sage‘s working table. “I was going to visit someone, but then I realized it was not necessary. So I brought it here for you.”
Sage understood without further explanation. “You went to visit Yale at the health center?”
As a flower lover, she could not accept throwing away any flowers. She got up and replaced the water in the vase with clean water and put the flower into the vase. Then she simply took scissors and trimmed away the flower. Her basic flower arrangement skill kicked in.
Yoel‘s mood was not very high. He said faintly, “It was unnecessary for me to go visit. Melody is taking good care of him. To the point, Melody almost helps him to the toilet and washes him.”
