Chapter 802
It was getting late at night, and it was time for bed.
Sage was not sleepy at all, but it was time to get some rest after a long day of fighting and surviving another death. Besides, she had to go to Nadeem City tomorrow.
Sage went upstairs with Jace walking slowly behind her. When they reached the room, Sage stopped. Jace also stopped behind her.
When she turned back, she happened to meet his eyes.
“You...” Sage felt like she still had much to ask him, but her mind went blank when she met Jace‘s dark and meaningful eyes.
Jace answered with a hum, “Hm?”
“It‘s nothing.” Sage looked away and muttered softly, “We have an early flight in the morning. Let‘s sleep early.”
Then, she turned around and headed to her room.
“Sage,” Jace called out to her.
Sage turned her head around to him again. “Hm?’”
Jace looked at her arm and advised, “When you sleep, be careful of the wounds on your arm. Be careful not to touch the water when you wash up. Don‘t take a bath.”
Sage was amused by his long nagging. “I know.”
Jace then realized what he had just said. “Ah, right. You‘re a doctor.”
How could she not know this common knowledge?
“Also, your palm...” Jace pointed at her hand.
“Hm?” Sage was puzzled. As she raised her left hand, she saw the deep scratch she left on her left palm when she sunk her nails into the flesh.
She sunk her nails so hard that they bled a little. It was not a deep wound, so she ignored it. She did not think he would see it.
“Oh. This is nothing,” she replied nonchalantly.
Then, she saw Jace dig around and pull out a white handkerchief from his pocket. Then, he wrapped it around Sage‘s hand. “I think your big brother put it in his pocket. It happens to be useful for you.” Sage looked at the white handkerchief that was tied around her hand like a white bandage covering her wound. She would not comment on the usefulness, but it was simply strange. It was just strange for a dense man like him to be so proactive and sweet.
She asked, “May I know how I wash my hands when they‘re bandaged?”
Jace thought about it and said, “Then don‘t wash it.”
Sage felt speechless. Then, she raised her head and looked up at him. She pointed at her face
and asked, “What about my makeup then? How do I remove it?” She probably would get angry if he said there was no need to remove it.
“Ah,” Jace answered softly. He then said, “You have to remove your makeup.”
