Judging by Jeremy's behavior now, he was nothing like before.
Harold felt happy for him. Jeremy had always been so cold that Harold once worried he would die alone.
It seemed Melody really had won him over.
No wonder Jeremy's emotions had swung so widely lately.
Before Jeremy could answer, Krystal's voice came from nearby. "What are you two talking about?"
Harold showed no change in expression. "I was telling Jeremy not to act like a walking robot all the time. He should loosen up a little."
Krystal nodded. She held out a shopping bag to Jeremy.
"I planned to give this to you tomorrow," she said. "Since you're here, take it now.
"My coat got soaked last night, so Caleb let me borrow yours. When I tried to return it, you told me to keep it. So, I bought you a new one.
"I know you are a germaphobe. I never meant to use your things on purpose. I'm sorry, and thank you."
Krystal spoke straightforwardly while still holding out the bag.
However, Jeremy didn't move.
She raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong? Do you not like it? I bought the same brand and the same style. It's exactly the same."
After a moment, he reached out and took the bag.
Harold said, "Told you you're changing. In the past, you would never have accepted anything from anyone else."
It was probably Melody's influence that had softened him, making him less likely to embarrass people in public.
Harold let out a sigh of relief.
Sure enough, a lonely genius needed a warm, adorable partner.
