Melody had just agreed when Tiffany came over with bright eyes as she asked, "Are you going to eat? Is Jason coming too?"

"Yeah, he's coming."

Tiffany's smile grew even wider, though she still seemed a little shy. She hesitated before asking, "Can I join you guys?"

Melody remembered that the last time Tiffany got Jason's number, she hadn't asked what happened afterward.

She hesitated, not sure if Tiffany knew that Jason stuttered, and also worried whether he would be uncomfortable with it.

Tiffany seemed to guess what she was thinking and immediately waved her phone, saying, "Don't worry, I've already talked to Jason, and he won't refuse me."

Seeing Tiffany's joy, Melody hesitated for a moment before asking, "Tiffany, has Jason ever told you about his situation?"

"He didn't bring it up on his own, but I asked him," Tiffany replied with a sweet smile. "He said he's an orphan and runs a car repair shop now.

"Oh, and he stutters a tad bit."

Melody felt relieved. Luckily, Jason had told Tiffany, or she wouldn't have known how to bring it up. Both of them were her friends, and she genuinely cared about them. However, she still asked Tiffany, "Aren't you bothered by it?"

Many people looked down on Jason because he was a stutterer. Even when he was in the orphanage, many of the other children used to bully him.

Tiffany didn't hesitate at all. "What's there to mind? He's so cute. Besides, if we argue in the future, he definitely won't win. And I talk a lot, so if I find someone more talkative than me, we'd probably drive each other crazy in no time."

Melody didn't expect Tiffany to have such a perspective. She nodded and then took Tiffany with her to meet Felicia and the others.

As they passed by the doctor's office, they happened to see that another meeting was going on inside.

Melody kept her eyes straight ahead and walked away without looking back.

Inside, Jeremy instinctively followed her with his gaze.

Caleb nudged him with his elbow. "Jeremy, Dr. Turner's asking you something."

Only then did Jeremy retract his gaze and continue the meeting, his expression unchanged.
