A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 151

With that, Denvin turned and walked away, feeling somewhat annoyed.

Coincidentally, Jeremy and Harold came out just in time to see Melody apologizing to him.

Jeremy's brow furrowed slightly, and then, as if recalling something, he resumed his usual indifferent expression.

Melody turned around and immediately met his gaze, but in less than a second, she looked away and walked off without looking back.

Harold had planned to greet Melody, but when he saw her leave without a word, he withdrew his hand. He then glanced at Jeremy with a suspicious expression. "What happened between you two?"

It didn't make sense. Harold knew that Jeremy had made the effort to pick Melody up, and by all rights, that should have meant that he had softened. So, Melody shouldn't be acting like this.

Jeremy coldly replied, "What does it have to do with you?"

Harold clicked his tongue. "So, caring about you is wrong now? Fine, fine, I won't say anything."

Melody vaguely heard bits and pieces of their conversation, but she didn't pay much attention to it. Her mind was preoccupied with what Denvin had told her—someone from the Regallo Charity Foundation had gone to see Lydia, and Felicia was investigating the warehouse reselling situation.

Melody felt uneasy, so she called Felicia during her break and cautiously asked, "Have you been looking into that warehouse reselling situation lately?"

Felicia was a social news reporter and always focused on these kinds of stories. It was noisy on her end, and she sounded particularly busy. "I think this issue should be exposed. Using the public's sympathy to profit off people is just disgusting."

Felicia came from a wealthy family, but she still chose to work as a tiring frontline reporter.

Melody voiced her concerns, saying, "Isn't this a little too dangerous? Denvin just came to see me. He told me to remind you to be careful. They've already noticed your actions."
