A Whisper that went unheard novel Chapter 185

Denvin's tone was laid-back, as if it was just a spontaneous call.

He continued, "I meant Regallo Group by the way, not the Regallo Charity Foundation. Since I've already promised you that I'd take responsibility for them, I'd better go and make an appearance. But I've contacted the media too, so there'll be people taking photos and doing a livestream."

Melody didn't say anything.

When companies came to orphanages to hold charity events, they would always contact media outlets so they could take photos. That was their way of promoting themselves and boosting their public image.

Melody was very familiar with this process.

But as of now, Denvin did seem more dependable than Andrew.

"Do you need me to go pick you up?" Denvin asked again. He was sitting in the driver's seat, his fingers casually tapping on the steering wheel while his eyes were fixed on the apartment building outside.

Since Jeremy wasn't going, Melody had been wondering how she was going to bring all the gifts she'd bought over to the orphanage.

Denvin's call had come at the perfect time.

She nodded and answered, "Okay. I'll go with you."

After she hung up, Melody started to get herself ready.

That was when she heard Jeremy ask, "Was that Denvin?" He had vaguely heard the word "Regallo" earlier, as well as Denvin's voice.

"He said he's coming to pick me up. Regallo Group is hosting an event at the orphanage."

Jeremy paused mid-action while fixing his collar. He turned to look at Melody, but his deep, dark eyes did not reveal any emotion.

Melody was heading to the orphanage, so she had purposely worn a white T-shirt and a pair of black athletic shorts. Her hair was also pulled back in a ponytail.

Her overall outfit made her look like a college student.
