Eudora clenched her fists tightly, staring at the ground with a fierce glare that seemed to threaten to pop her eyeballs out of their sockets.

Why should she thank Evie? All she did was take a little blood from Evie's body and then eat some good food to recover.

Evie was strong, so why should Eudora have to thank her?

She gritted her teeth. "Mr. Howlett, Isaac will be here soon. Should I thank Evie in front of him?"

Her words were full of provocation!

It was as if she were saying, "My man is Isaac. Aren't you afraid of offending him? You can't afford to offend my man."

Evie found it amusing. "You're so important, your son is so important, but why isn't your Isaac here to pick us up? Maybe he just didn't want to come."

Walt's face actually hurt a bit from the comment, but he had to use Isaac's name. After all, this man would be his future son-in-law. Although everyone in the Anto family was jealous when they saw Jasper coming instead of Isaac picking up Evie at the airport.

But then he thought again. Mr. Carr is very busy with work.

Eudora turned white with anger before even speaking when Walt said confidently. "My son-in-law is very busy making money unlike some people who are only fit for running errands and can't compare with my son-in-law who makes money hand over fist."

Walt blatantly looked down on Jasper and mocked him.

Evie seethed with anger; she had never seen such shameless behavior before.

Jasper wasn't angry though; he just curled his lips and looked towards a man walking towards them wearing sunglasses. "Perfect timing! Mr. Carr has arrived," He said calmly."Your big shot son-in-law has come all this way just for you Eudora. Don't forget saying thank you."

Upon hearing Jasper's words, Eudora followed his gaze excitedly only see several men walking towards them behind Issac.

Eudora's heart almost jumped out of her chest, she looked ecstatically at Issac without restraint.

She wanted nothing more than fly into his arms, but managed to keep herself composed while speaking softly, "Issac , why did you take so long?"

She had contacted Issac before getting off the plane asking him if he could pick them up. But he clearly refused.

However, she never expected that he would change his mind for her sake

Isaac's eyes behind his sunglasses looked towards Evie not far away.

When he saw the bright bouquet of roses she was holding, his gaze darkened. He then turned to the delicate and affected Eudora and said, "I'm not here for you."

"I'm not here for you!" These words came out of the man's thin lips, causing Eudora to stare at him in shock. She lowered her head with tears in her eyes and asked, "Isaac... then who are you here for?"

"I have a business trip," Isaac replied coolly.

Eudora's heart suddenly felt cold as if it had been thrown into an ice cellar by Isaac himself. "Can you come back for the full moon banquet?" she asked.

Isaac smiled charmingly with a slight curl of his thin lips. "I should be able to since this is my first child."

Hearing this, Eudora became happy again and put on a bird-like expression saying, "Okay, I'll wait for you."

Isaac ignored her and went over to Evie instead. Being very tall himself he had to look down at her while asking, "Evie, where have you been all this time?"

"Oh, just traveling around the world," Evie answered casually while taking Jasper's big hand in hers before smiling distantly at Isaac, saying, "If there isn't anything else we need to do here, then we'll be leaving now."

She found that when she saw Isaac again this time around, she could really let go of any emotions associated with him, as if seeing someone who was just passing through life.

In the past she would've been devastated but now... it didn't matter because there were things more important than him that were worth cherishing.

"How can we leave like that?" Jasper stood firm on both feet like they were nailed onto the ground before giving a cold glance towards Isaac, then turning back towards Eudora, saying, "Mr. Carr, Eudora just said earlier that she wanted to thank Evie in front of you, thanking Evie for supplying blood all these years. Miss Eudora, you can do it now."

Eudora was so angry that she almost fainted! What kind of person was Jasper? Was it fun holding onto her like this?

She pitifully looked at Isaac hoping he would stand up for her.

However, Isaac remained indifferent, stating calmly, "Eudora, it's rare how sensible you are. I am pleased. You should indeed thank Evie after all these years."

Eduardo's head buzzed loudly; did Issac really ask me apologize? Has he gone mad?

Her teary eyes nearly fell out from their sockets due to feeling wronged by everything happening around them.

"What? You don't want to?" Isaac slowly took off his sunglasses, revealing a pair of cold eyes. He glanced at Eudora and then looked at Evie. "Evie, you've been wronged for so many years. When I come back from his business trip, let me take you out for a meal, okay?"
