Chapter 15 Unbutton My Shirt 

Michael entered the ward from outside, sweltering from the heat, and his attire was still the captain’s uniform. 

He asked in a less indifferent voice, “Why did you come to visit Wendy without waiting for me?” 

Chloe froze, wondering, “Why is he here? 

And how does he know I am in the hospital today?” 

At the sight of Michael, Wendy beamed with joy. 

“Michael, you’re here. I just talked to Chloe about you, but she mentioned that you were busy with work and thus couldn’t come 

with her.” 

“Wendy, I was busy.” Michael naturally took Chloe’s hand and gently rubbed its smooth back with his fingertips. 

“But didn’t we agree that I would come with you as soon as the flight was over? Why didn’t you wait for me?” 

Chloe forced a smile”

Wendy nodded and placed the clothes she had bought for Michael on the bed. 

“Check out the clothes I picked for you. Like them?” 

Wendy was trying hard because she wanted Chloe to fit in with the Shawn family. 

Chloe squinted. 

To Michael, this stuff was trash. He wouldn’t even look at it, let

Leaning against the bathroom door, Michael stared at her with an intimate and playful expression that was exclusive to lovers.

In the small bathroom, Chloe pressed against the wall, with her arms around her chest, watching Michael take off his coat.

Michael had a well–proportioned, muscular figure. 

Chloe had been obsessed with his body more than once before. However, now, she just averted her gaze, as if showing no 

interest.

Chloe furrowed her eyebrows. “Can’t you put on your clothes by yourself?” 

Michael glanced outside meaningfully. 

They were in a stalemate, and in the end, Chloe compromised. 

Her fair and slender fingers slowly fell on the delicate buttons of Michael’s shirt and soon undid them. 

Chloe tried hard to keep her distance from him, but he was much stronger than her. Under the ceiling light, he almost enveloped her in shadow. 

She was distracted for a moment. As a result, her nails accidentally scratched the skin on his collar. 

“Hmm…Be careful.” 

Chloe didn’t know if it was an illusion, but Michael’s voice grew deep and hoarse.
