Chapter 154 Gratitude
1/4
The Moore family of three entered, their faces beaming as they carried bags large and small.
Chloe didn’t recognize the Moores.
The only familiar face was the girl at the back with long black hair, about her age.
She was the girl she and Rick had saved from a heart attack at a
party.
She was slightly taken aback and didn’t speak right away.
“Mr. Moore, what brings you here?”
Admas, leaning on his cane, approached and shook hands with the head of the Moore family, Wilson Moore.
In this city, the Moores were also prominent figures.
If the Shawn family was first, then the Moores were either second or third.
So, Admas treated them with great respect.
After all, the two families had collaborated frequently in the past and would likely do so in the future.

“Sir Shawn, we came specifically to express our gratitude today.”
“Gratitude?”
Adams looked puzzled, unsure what there was to thank for.
Lately, there seemed to be no connection between the Shawn family and the Moore family projects.
Wilson waved his hand, summoning Luna to his side.
“At the last banquet, my niece Luna Moore suddenly had a heart attack. It was Mrs. Shawn who stepped in and saved her life. That’s why we’re here today, to specifically thank Mrs. Shawn.”
Wilson’s words took Admas by surprise.
After attending the banquet, neither Michael nor Chloe had mentioned anything about a rescue.
Luna’s parents had died in an accident years ago, so she was raised by her uncle, Wilson.
Wilson adored his niece to no end.
He hadn’t visited in the past few days because Luna was still recuperating in the hospital.
Today, as soon as she was discharged, he brought people over.
“Mr. Moore, anyone would have helped in that situation; there’s no need to bring so many gifts!”
Chapter 154 Gratitude
A verbal thank you was enough for Chloe.

“Mrs. Shawn, these are just small tokens of our appreciation. We hope you like it!”
Though termed as small tokens, the array of thank–you gifts
Chloe saw indeed amounted to no less than seven figures.
Just as Chloe was thinking about how to decline, Luna shyly presented a box to her.
“This is a diamond necklace designed by Alscia’s renowned jeweler. There’s only one in the world, and it’s my token of appreciation for you,” Luna explained.
The Moore family was one thing, and Luna was another.
Chloe was her savior, and she naturally wanted to give her the best she had.
Chloe was stunned by the sight of the sparkling diamond necklace.
She had never seen such a large diamond before.
Cathy and Victoria stood by, their jealousy evident in their eyes.
