After Divorcing my Captain Husband (Chloe and Michael) novel Chapter 443

Chapter 443 Dirty Tricks

Michael was lost for words. Not wanting to upset Chloe because of him today, he had to leave.

However, he didn't walk too far. He stood on the roadside beneath the cemetery and smoked.

"Your ex-husband is really funny. Why didn't I know he was so affectionate before?" Candy taunted.

Chloe retracted her gaze and put the bag aside. "Leave him alone."

Then, Chloe gently placed the flowers before Wendy's grave.

Standing there, she began to speak softly, pouring her heart out to her late mother, tears streaming down her cheeks.

As Candy watched her, her heart was heavy with sadness.

"Mom, please rest in peace. Don't worry about me. I'm fine now. Things will get better with time," Chloe spoke to Wendy's grave.

Candy added, "Don't worry, Wendy. I will be there for Chloe. I'm her best friend. I will take care of her from now on!"

Chloe lowered her head, sobbing.

Candy put her arm around her shoulders. They leaned against each other for support and comfort.

When going down, Chloe saw Michael standing there, holding a cigarette.

She frowned, subconsciously moving away.

Upon noticing Chloe's approach, Michael immediately extinguished his cigarette. He turned his head to several to exhale towards the other side before he dared to talk to her.

"I'll send you back," he offered.

"No, I have my car," Chloe refused.

"Your car seemed to have a flat."

Chloe and Candy were stunned and looked towards the red Porsche in the open-air garage.

The two front tires were both flat.

"Michael, did you do this on purpose?!" Candy questioned, her hands on her hips, glaring at Michael.

She just didn't believe that two tires could have blown at the same time!

Michael looked calm. "It has nothing to do with me. It might be due to wear and tear. It is common for tires to blow on their own."

Wear and tear?

Chloe had driven this car for less than 62 miles. How could the tires wear out so quickly?

It was clearly an excuse.
