Chloe wondered, "Is everyone just losing interest in fireworks festivals these days?"
Holding the tickets in her hand, Chloe approached a staff member at the entrance. "Excuse me, is there a fireworks show happening here today?"
The staff member, looking rather disinterested, gave a lazy nod. "Yeah, yeah, it's happening. Just go on in and find a spot. It should start soon."
With a reassuring answer, Chloe signaled to the others to head inside.
As they entered, Candy asked, "Why is it so empty here? I thought it'd be packed."
The staff member paused, then said, "It's a private event. Not many people know about it."
As they walked in, it became clear there was no ticket check. Candy glanced at her ticket and remarked, "If they're not checking tickets, can't anyone just walk in? Seems like a pointless formality."
Chloe shrugged. "Maybe they're not expecting a big crowd, so they're keeping things more relaxed."
The group followed a dimly lit path. Jessica, walking beside Quinn, suddenly froze in fear when she noticed something rustling in the nearby bushes.
She let out a terrified scream. "Ah! There's a snake!"
Jessica immediately grabbed onto Quinn's arm, clutching him for dear life.
Quinn stiffened for a moment but, considering her panic, gently guided her away from the bushes.
"Where's the snake? This place can't be that creepy!"
Candy, also frightened, clung to Chloe's arm.
Quinn, the only guy in the group, took on the task of checking out the situation. He cautiously approached the bushes and parted them a bit.
Suddenly, a wild cat sprang out from the undergrowth, startling everyone once again.
Jessica took a deep breath, patting her chest. "Oh, it's just a wild cat. You really scared me!"
Quinn shot her a look and motioned downward, indicating that she might want to let go now.
He had been dragging her away from the bushes just moments before.
Jessica met his gaze and quickly released her grip, her face flushed with embarrassment. "Quinn, sorry about that!"
The group continued forward, and Candy pulled out her phone to send a message.
She said, "Chloe, there's a statue here. Let's take a photo!"
She wanted to capture the moment since Chloe would be leaving for abroad soon, and they might not have another chance to all be together like this.
Jessica raised her hand. "I can take the picture for you!"
Being the newest member of the group, Jessica didn't have the same bond with them as the others did, so helping out with a photo was no big deal.
"Oh no, don't worry about it! I've got this," Candy said with a grin, wrapping her arm around Jessica.
With a quick spin, they all lined up in front of the camera.
"Ready? One, two, three, cheese!"
With the photo taken, Candy looked satisfied and uploaded it to her social media.
