Chapter 81: How Much Longer Are You Going to Stay Mad? 

When Michael returned to Lotus Manor, the servants told him that Chloe had locked herself in her room as soon as she got 

back. 

He paused briefly, then headed upstairs. 

As he stood at the master bedroom door, he raised his hand, then let it drop. 

He turned the doorknob, and to his surprise, it opened. 

“Chloe, where’s that coffee I bought last time?” 

His deep voice reached Chloe’s ears. 

Her phone just broke, and she was feeling down. The first thing he says when he walks in? “Where are the coffee beans?” 

Seeing her silence, Michael knew she was still upset about the phone incident. He cleared his throat, trying to break the ice. 

“At home, it’s always you making my coffee. The servants never get it just right.” 

Chloe felt a pang of bitterness as those words hit her.

The servants‘ cooking didn’t suit his taste, so she took over the kitchen herself. She knew all his food restrictions and allergies. 

She even knew how he liked his coffee: no sugar and brewed at just the right temperature. 

It’s because she loves him. 

But now, as time went on, it seemed like he truly saw her as nothing more than a servant. 

She couldn’t be bothered with him. 

“Chloe, how long are you gonna stay mad?” 

Michael stepped up to her, unable to hold back any longer. “I have to ask,” he said. 

She turned to face the man standing tall with a straight back. 

“With all these servants around, can’t they even make a decent cup of coffee? Mr. Shawn, if you’re that picky, do it yourself. I’m not your maid.” 

Her words dripped with anger, making Michael frown once 

more. 

Chloc flat–out ignored him and grabbed the bedroom phone to call Candy.

Candy answered with a quick “Hello.” No wonder an unknown number had popped up on her screen. 

“Lucy’s got serious paranoia issues. She not only staged an 

entire drama herself but also dragged you into it.” 

Chloe gave a wry smile. “What else can I do? After all, there really are people watching.” 

The viewer in question? Yep, that’s Michael. 

“Did your husband lose his temper with you again?” 

“Would he really dare to snap at Lucy?” 

When Michael heard Chloe’s sarcastic tone talking to Candy, he stormed over to the phone, snatched the receiver from her hand, and slammed it down.
