After I left, the twin Alphas went crazy novel Chapter 6

Oscar and Axel asked in unison, “Why are you selling the house? Haven’t we been happy living here together?”

Oscar hesitated, then asked, “Are you still upset about what happened before?”

He seemed flustered, even apologizing.. something he rarely did. “I might have overreacted yesterday, but do you really have to go this far?”

I shook my head calmly. “It’s not about that…”

It’s about you two. I don’t want any more ties between us.

Although that’s what I thought, I didn’t say it. Instead, I explained,

“You know I’m in my final year of college. My internship requires me to move, and staying here isn’t convenient anymore. Besides, we’ve lived together for so many years. Maybe it’s time we all had our own space.”

Oscar’s face turned cold, clearly unwilling to accept this. “If it’s for work, Axel and I can drive you. And honestly, after all this time together, we’re used to it. Why change now?”

“Yes,” Axel added firmly. “With both of us here, we can even hire a driver if needed. I don’t agree with splitting up.”

I rubbed my forehead, frustrated by their stubbornness.

“Then let’s sell this place and get a bigger house. Nina can live with us too,” I said bluntly.

At the mention of Nina, their eyes lit up, though they looked hesitant.

Eventually, Axel relented first. “If that’s the case, it might not be a bad idea.”

Only Oscar hesitated, giving me a complicated look. “You’d really let Nina live with us?”

“Of course. Why wouldn’t I? We’re all friends, aren’t we?”

I made the decision on the spot. “It’s settled then. We’ll sell this house and find a new one.”

After taking care of the house sale, I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders.

Later, I went to the mall, carefully picked out a massage device and a diamond bracelet, and headed to Mrs. Carson’s house.

The moment I stepped in, Mrs. Carson hugged me tightly.

“Sophie, I’ll miss you so much. You’ve been in Forest Moon Pack for so many years. I think of you as my own daughter. I can’t imagine life here without you.”

Before she could say anything, I turned to Nina to change the subject. “Why are you here?”

Oscar and Axel snapped out of their thoughts, their explanations a bit rushed.

“It’s Thanksgiving,” Axel said. “Nina was alone at home, so we brought her here to celebrate with us.”

“Yes, we called you too, but you didn’t pick up,” Oscar added.

Their nervousness was obvious. In past years, Axel and Oscar used to fight over who got to take me home for Thanksgiving.. since it symbolized introducing someone to the family.

But this year, they had brought Nina. That alone told me everything I needed to know.

I didn’t scold them. I simply said, “I see. That sounds nice. As long as you’re all happy. I need to go pack now.”

With that, I turned and walked away, planning to call a car. But behind me, Oscar and Axel called out.

“Sophie!”

“Sophie!”
