"Oh shut up. Which one is Ke-ke now. Camille or Keita please."
I smile knowing how she hates that nickname. Taking her hand, I drag her to class to save both our asses.
"Why are you-"
"I don't want that man's wahala today please. We'll talk in class."
Finding two empty seats we drop our books on the desks and wait for the late teacher.
All this rushing for nothing. Well at least I'm here before him.
"Why were you late today? I didn't see you before my first lesson."
"All thanks to my stupid step brother." As she speaks she glances at Kelechi who is seating two rows in front of us searching for something in his bag.
"I thought your dad brings you to school."
"Yeah he traveled with Cassiopeia for business stuff I think. I had to wait for my lazy step brother to get ready for school."
"Oh okay." I end the conversation as the sadistic Mr. Fahdia walks into the classroom.
"Good day students. So I heard your results are out. I hope you guys did well. Aisha what did you get?"
The first girl in the first row stares at the teacher wide eyed.
"265 sir."
"For which course?"
"Pharmacy."
"Okay you tried."
