Kelechi's pov.
I was starting to get sick of this party. The people here were making me really uncomfortable, especially the girls. Tobi seemed to handle them really well. One was currently resting her head on my shoulder. I don't know if she's drunk or being intentionally clingy. However, my eyes were focused on a certain dark-haired girl who was starting to giggle too much. I spared a glance at my watch. 5:25. We had to leave soon. I was trying to think of how best to escape the party with Denise when I heard my name followed by a giggle. I looked around totally confused.
Denise stood up with what I think was a sly grin and tried to walk only she was tottering. Then she fell on ...guess who?... me. Still very surprised and confused, I simply stared at the girl in front of me. What was her problem?
"Uhm, Denise what is it?" I whispered breathlessly. Her face was mere inches from mine and it set my heart in overdrive.
"I was dared to kiss you, doofus."
"Huh? Bu-but I- Tola", I turned to Tola hoping he speaks sense into her. He just shrugged and turned his head away leaving me to deal with his drunk girlfriend.
Before I could think, I felt her mouth on mine. All I could think was Wow. This feels so good. My surprise was now pure pleasure as I kissed her back.
I was finally kissing Denise! Wait. Denise? Something was missing. Tola. Denise and Tola!
I quickly pushed her off me so that she landed on her butt. She was pouting and boy did she look cute. The boys were hollering and I saw a smirk on Trish's face. I shook my head trying to get out of this daze. Then I heard a clatter followed by an "Oh, I'm so sorry."
"Tola where are you going? The game isn't over yet," Trish asked as her brother left the room.
