Twenty minutes later, a silver–haired old man entered the classroom, followed by the teacher of Class 8.

The teacher introduced him. “This is our principal, Mr. Theodore Rowe.”

At that moment, everyone was completely stunned. No one expected to see the principal in person–it was an incredible honor.

The principal of Sogin High School was known for being low–key and rarely made appearances. Theodore was famous among the principals of various high schools in Sogin for his steadfastness and his refusal to bow to power.

All the students respected him immensely.

Simone nonchalantly wiped away the blood from her temple, not too bothered. “I’m fine. I actually wanted to ask you to help prove that I didn’t cheat on the exam.”

“Cheat? Who said you cheated?” Theodore’s expression quickly darkened upon hearing her words.

“They did,” Simone said, glancing around at the group. She gestured subtly to Theodore.

Theodore’s gaze suddenly became sharp, delivering a quiet warning. “You little hoodlums, let me remind you that spreading rumors could land you in the police station.”

Many students were intimidated by Theodore’s commanding presence, instantly silencing them. However, there were still a few who were undeterred and came forward, practically begging for trouble.

“Mr. Rowe, if you look into Simone’s exam scores from the past six months, you’ll see there’s no way she could have improved so suddenly. I suggest you investigate thoroughly,” Raymond said, gritting his teeth and mustering the courage to speak.

What he didn’t expect was Theodore’s disapproval and scolding.

Theodore didn’t hold back. “Please think before you speak. There are cameras everywhere in the exam rooms. Do you really think we can’t catch someone cheating if they try?

“Our school spends millions every year maintaining exam equipment–you think we’re just sitting around doing nothing?

“Simone absolutely did not cheat, and I can guarantee that. She scored perfect marks in her entrance exam six months ago, the highest score ever recorded.

“If any of you doubt this, you can look at her previous monthly exam papers and transcripts. You can never control the scores like she did.

“If you still doubt her, feel free to ask her some difficult questions privately. If she can’t answer, then there’s no chance she cheated.”

Once Theodore finished speaking, there was no more opposition.

Raymond and Marico were left red–faced, and though they were unwilling, they didn’t dare to continue embarrassing themselves.

Although the issue was resolved, because of the severity of the fight between Simone and Raymond, both were called to the office and lectured by their teacher, ending up with a delightful notice for their parents. They were both kept in the office after school.

Sitting side by side, neither of them spoke to the other; they were both being standoffish.

When Samuel walked in, he found this awkward scene.

The once inseparable siblings, closer than anyone, had now grown distant and even gotten into a physical fight. Samuel couldn’t believe that the culprits were these two.

He approached the teacher first to understand the situation before walking over to them.

“What’s going on with you two?” Samuel lowered his voice, struggling to keep his anger in check.

Just as Samuel finished speaking, he noticed the wound on Simone’s temple and furrowed his brow slightly. “What happened?”

He reached out to touch it, but Simone reacted strongly, jumping up from her seat and putting distance between them.

Samuel’s expression froze. “Simone, can you stop messing around?”

He had no idea how many times she had heard that line before, and now it barely registered.

She pointed at Raymond but directed her words to Samuel. “Mr. Spence, your son is over there. I have nothing to do with you. My father will be here to pick me up soon.” She deliberately emphasized the word “father.”

Raymond scoffed, curling his lip. “Dad, look at her. She’s so ungrateful.”

Simone couldn’t help but laugh in frustration. “Ungrateful? Mr. Spence, although I’ve lived in your house for these past few years, I earned money myself to cover my own spending. A few days ago, I transferred 160 thousand to your account, and that’s all I pay you

back.”

Samuel remained silent, but Raymond was dissatisfied. “160 thousand? Really? You’ve been living off the Spence family all these years. 160 thousand is just pocket change for you. I spend more than that on clothes!”

Simone clenched her fists, glaring at Raymond with irritation. “Of course, you don’t see it as much because you enjoy the same privileges as Stella in the Spence family.”

“I even think 160 thousand is way too much,” she scoffed, finding the situation laughable but refusing to explain further.

Simone coldly laughed. “Has the Spence family ever treated me well? You actually have the gall to say that?

“Samuel abandoned me in a fire, sent me abroad, and asked me to make concessions to Stella since I was little.
