Chapter 48

After breakfast, Simone grabbed some beef jerky and stuffed it into her pocket. When she stepped outside, sure enough, the dog was still there. emuched by the gate The moment it saw her, its tail wagged so hard it looked like it might fall off

Simone wasn’t a fan of dogs, especially this oneis had scared her half to death when it jumped on her before. She picked up a pebble from the garden, threw it at the dog, and tried to look as herce as possible. Scram!she barked:

Just when Simone thought it had finally left, she was stunned to find it trailing behind her on her way to school the next morning. Somehow, it even managed to surak onto the school grounds, though she had no idea how it pulled that off.
