Chapter 0179
“Wait! I’m not calling to chat today,” Sam said solemnly on the other end. “I’ve already figured out what happened in Marvedis.”
Miranda instinctively sat up straight. “Go on.”
He said, “Are you free? Let’s grab a bite. There’s something I need to give you.”
She frowned slightly and checked her watch. They agreed to meet at 3:00 pm the following day.
As soon as they sat down in the restaurant, Sam got straight to the point. He pulled out a brown envelope and slid it across the table.
“My legal team obtained this document. Take a look,” he said.
He continued, “This cross–border lawsuit has been ongoing since last year. The hotel was forced to provide all the surveillance footage. Plus, we accidentally learned that there was an eyewitness. So, we followed the leads and managed to uncover the truth.
Sam was the first to know, and he had full confidence in his team. He wasn’t surprised by the outcome because it matched his initial suspicions.

Her fingers slightly curled as she looked at the envelope pushed toward her. She picked it up and opened
The documents detailed how Ingrid bribed a diving instructor to swap out the oxygen tanks and how the gift box ended up containing a venomous snake. The evidence was thorough, with photos and videos that made any denial impossible.
After being hurt multiple times and nearly losing her life, Miranda should have been furious when she learned who was behind it. Instead, she was calm, as if she had expected this all along.
After a long pause, she looked up and said word by word, “You mentioned I can decide on what to do with this document?”
“Yes.”
