material in the reference section of the library

Miranda found the book after a few minutes Just as she decided to get up and return to

her seat, another book nearby caught her attention.

The title of the book was “The Fusion and Recombination of Genome Sequences“. She recalled what Paul had said and pulled the book out instinctively.

After skimming through a few pages, Mir Ja was surprised to find that the author’s opinion was quite similar to her own ideas.

She continued flipping through the pages. The more she read, the more delighted she became. Soon, she was completely absorbed until her phone vibrated in her pocket.

A WhatsApp message notification from Winter appeared on her phone screen. “Guess

where I am?”

Miranda thought Winter was trying to play a game with her. As she was about to reply to Winter, something occurred to her. She replied, “Are you at the college?”

“Bingo!”

Miranda went downstairs and saw a figure standing under a tree outside the library. Why did you come over all of a sudden?”

“I was nearby and thought I’d bring you something delicious to eat.” Winter gestured at the bag in her hand. A fragrant aroma wafted out. “I should get going now that I’ve delivered it.”

Miranda asked, “Aren’t you going to eat it with me?”

Winter waved her hand. “I brought it over especially for you. I’m too busy, so I won’t be eating.”

She sighed and continued, “I recently took on a new project. I’ve been busy for three days, and I’ve only slept eight hours in total. What’s worse, my dad summoned me to come over right when I just woke up. It’s just unfair!”

Winter worked as a designer, and she only took on a few big projects each year. However, each project was quite complicated. Once she got busy, she’d hardly have any
